This game sucks

Game play has never been worse I'll literally out shoot my opponent 40 to 10 with 3 times as much possession and still lose. I swear EA messes with the sliders. I have never seen the AI make such braindead mistakes before. I get the need an ice tilt to make games even but I ain't playing ranked no more if the game is already decided before I even play.

I've had the opposite happen where I'll beat way better players than me off of complete bs.

This is dumb and I don't think I'll be playing online anymore

All I see in this game a lame exploits, people will try the same exploit 20 times in a row. Most unrealistic shit too. You guys have never put on skates in your life and this is a sad Arcady representation of hockey.

Easy fix is autofill to maximize cap space via available synergies. Optimize by salary, AP or overall. AI API from chat gpt or Claude etc could have this sorted within seconds and allow us to play the game. I’m not pro AI im just anti laziness. Can’t say it’s not laziness when they’ve been using the same clunky UI from like 6 generations ago.

I used to play bejeweled on my parents computer growing up. When I was struggling eventually a jewel would flash or sparkle to show you there’s a potential combo to be had. If the games on a windows 98 pc can suggest combos, so can NHL 26 on modern consoles.

I ran Cossa most of the season 4 and didn’t like him at all. Only reason I used him he got good salary combo but now that is gone and have a hood reason to try something else.

Any recommendations for a solid goalie? I have cap for 94 ovr goalie without salary boosts

I cannot pick the puck up ever, it just bobbles around constantly. The puck will be loose and my icons lidstrom with quick pick active will be spinning around with it between his legs until my opponent comes and gets it.

There's been at least 10 times where I line up a hit but my guy somehow gets magnetically attracted to an opposing player near the puck, causing me to take an interference penalty.

My guys simply refuse to ever get off the ice, especially in overtime. I played 2 ranked games where I went to OT and lost because my guys would not get off of the ice.

Anytime there is a loose puck after a hit or poke check, all of my other skaters retreat away from it except for the one who is off balance after throwing the hit, which just allows my opponent to gain possession back. Also, 90% of the time you pass it out with your goalie, your defenseman will skate 3 strides away, allowing your opponent to easily get possession back.

Also, trying to complete a pass seems way more difficult than before. You will have a clean passing lane and your opponents CPU defender will teleport forward 10 feet with his stick out and intercept it.

Trying to switch your player to another who is already skating toward the puck causes them to stop dead in their tracks and then start again, making it so you just barely lose every race for a loose puck

It feels borderline impossible to score a goal, I have 99 mcdavid with quick release and I cut out infront of the net and aim far side and my opponents goalie does some super fast glitched animation to get across and rob me.

Not that we're suprised.

I just made silver ( yeah I know, real impressive) my question is, if I loose games now, will i go down to bronze again or do i just not progress? I have only been playing moments and cup chase during S4.

I will say , I rarely run into a team that’s the same as mine . Having a god squad ( every top line combo) , is almost impossible for 99% of us . So I will say it’s a refreshing plus to see many different teams each game . That was always an issue in the past

Why is my player shooting chip shots at the goalie when i try shoot it far post. So let's say i control a left shooting player coming from the right side and i want to with speed shoot it far side and for some reason she shot instead make like a very slow speeded chip shot that looks like it falls of my stick. Same thing happeneds in a wrap around ish far side

My menu screen switching from viewing overall boosts to ap boosts have a glitchy effect to it. In gameplay my players seem more clunky and stumble all over the place. Anyone else feel this? Do I need to delete and re-load game from console?
