Housing Application Incoming Freshman

Do any incoming freshman or current students know what’s going on with the housing portal? I’m trying to do my housing application because it’s due today (May 1st) at 11:59 but it keeps saying my log in credentials are wrong. I used the exact credentials that it says to use and it still saying that my username or password is incorrect, which I know it’s not. Then I called what I believe was the tech help for A&T around 4:15 today and they said a lot of people have been having the same issue as me where it says that their log in credentials are wrong. The person on the phone then gave me the specific number for housing and told me to contact them, because they had also given the last few people calling about the same issue housings number as well. Then I call housing multiple times and they don’t answer. It’s now past 5pm so I feel like they’re closed. Am I gonna be okay and am I going to get housing?? I know ncat always has issues with housing and so I really wanted to secure mine. The person on the phone said a lot of people have had the same issue as me today but I haven’t seen anyone talk about it online. I just don’t want to be behind and not have housing. It says may 1st is the priority deadline for the housing application but everywhere is also saying that I need to have it completed by May 1st. It’s 7:30pm and it’s due at 11:59 and idk what to do. Please help!

When are NCAT Graduate funding decision sent?

I applied for Computational data science and engineering PhD program for Fall 2026. I received my admission letter a week ago but no funding decision has been sent. How long does it take to receive funding decision at North Carolina A & T. I am an international student and how much funding is given to PhD students

I’m currently finishing my first year at Howard University, where I’m majoring in Economics. Based on my final grades this year, I expect my GPA to fall somewhere between about a 2.6 and a 2.8. I know that for schools like Ncat, especially if I’m considering something like business or economics, that GPA is on the lower side and can be competitive, which makes me really nervous. At the same time, I know my current GPA doesn’t fully reflect my academic ability. In high school, I graduated with a 3.8 GPA, and I also completed my associate’s degree while in high school with about a 3.5 GPA, so I have a strong academic track record overall. I also got into ncat fall of 2025.

Part of what worries me is that my freshman year has been unusually difficult due to personal and family issues, but there isn’t really a clear way to explain that context in a transfer application without it sounding like an excuse.

Since being at Howard, I’ve gotten involved where I could, including community service and a few activities, but I haven’t had the chance to take on major leadership roles yet, which I think makes sense given that I’ve only been here for one year and have been dealing with a lot personally.

I guess what I’m trying to figure out is whether I still have a realistic chance of being admitted as a transfer.

Apartment as a Freshman?

Hi everyone! I’m an incoming freshman for this fall semester and was wondering if it’s possible for me to get an apartment (on campus) instead of a dorm for my first year? I’ve always had my own space growing up and also suffer from mental health issues (I know I may be able to get accommodations but I don’t feel as though in my case it’s not as significant to result in a single.) I know getting a single dorm is also pretty competitive especially for freshmen, and I also committed to this school pretty late so I’m in NSO 5 (giving me a lower chance of getting a single dorm/good housing as a freshman.)
