On this day in NASCAR History, April 10, 1971: The first race ever to be broadcast flag-to-flag live on TV, the Greenville 200, airs on ABC. The race was won by Bobby Isaac in the No 71 Dodge. David Pearson in the No 17 Ford would finish 2nd, two laps down.

You can watch the entire race from Greenville-Pickens here: https://youtu.be/LueNWi3Gdj0?si=VV57e4WKqdEI54jH

A very young Ken Squier was a pit reporter that day.

Ron Fellows in the Dale Earnhardt Inc. No 1 at Watkins Glen in 2004. Starting 43rd in the Sirius at The Glen, he would battle his way to a 2nd place finish.

The race was won by Tony Stewart in the JGR No 20 Chevrolet. The best part about this race though is that I was there.

Foyt started 2nd and led 167 laps. The only other two leaders were Richard Petty, who led 31 laps but retired on lap 80 due to a valve issue, and Bobby Allison, who led 2 laps and finished 23 laps down in 16th.
