ECU tune for my 2024 v7
Greetings from Nice, France :)
My 2024 Stone has mistral exhausts and sounds really nice. I also love the ocasional pops and crackles when re opening throttle between 4000 and 5000 rpm, or the pop when down shifting with a blip on the throttle.
I might want to do a tune on it to smooth out the jerky low rpm throttle and the hole between 2800 and 3200 rpm when accelerating but I don't want to completely loose the poping and cracking noise...
Do you have any recomendations on it ?
Any mod that will make the bike run better for these 2 conditions without deleting the fun pops ?
Mistral v twin boost ? Velocity stack ? K&N filter ?
Cheers !
V7 iii 2017- rear drive oil change question. Crush washer specs
I washed this new to me bike for the first time this spring (purchased near the end of the season last summer). First ride after the wash I created chocolate milk coming out of the vent pipe. I am guessing my pressure washing was to vigorous and I sent water into the drive shaft. I’m planning to swap the oil now. My question is, how specific is the crush washer dimensions?
For the Moto Guzzi V7 III Stone, the rear final drive (shaft drive) oil drain plug typically requires a 10mm x 18mm x 1.5mm crush washer (OEM Part # GU10528900).
If I can’t get that part in time can I use a generic crush washer m10x16x 1mm?
Thanks for the help.
850 V7 rear rack 6kg limit how real is this?
I've been looking around for rear racks for the 850 v7 stone and all of the brands I've found have a limit of 6kg (13lb) or less. Is this the brands coverings they're ass or is there something keeping them from being able to put a decent rear rack on the V7? I wanted to put a large hardcase on the back for more storage when I had a passenger but at least with my current options, a decent box would go over the limit if I put anything in it. Anyone with real world knowledge either about the v7 or rear racks in general would be appreciated?
Driveshaft leak on my v7 ?
Bought this used 2024 v7 stone with 1350km (demo bike) tuesday and today when I rode it a bit harder at 1500km she leaked oil :/
It doesn't seem to come from the nut on the bottom but from the space between the moving part attached to the wheel and the fixed part where the lug is.
I cleaned it up, took off the bolt where you add oil and there was a tiny bit of oil that came out. I retorqued both bolts but they were already snug.
I hope I wont need a driveshaft seal rebuild, I will carefully comute to work tomorrow to see if it is still leaking.
I already took an appointment with the dealer.
What's your thoughts ?
Edit: commuted to work this morning and no oil spillage. So my best guess is overfill from factory and the oil spilled out when hot hot.
Hi guys !
I have just bought this 2024 v7 Stone and I am searching for small luggage options.
What I mainly need is something waterproof:
- for weekend riding where I can put a small bottle of water, and a tire repair kit just in case. Eventually a sandwich lol
- for daily commuting when I need to transport my 14" laptop + rain riding gear (equivalent to two 0.5L bottles in terms of space).
20L of luggage total would be ideal.
I do a lot of lane filtering so it can't be more wide than the handlebars.
I need the bag to be easy and fast to secure on the bike and to easy to get from the bike.
I don't want to put a top case on this bike and I don't want to use a backpack either.
Maybe a side bag that clips on the bike and I can carry it with me to work with my stuff in ?
Thanks for the suggestions !
I’m looking for recommendations to replace my stock mirrors with bar and mirrors. I’d want them to be compatible with the protectors at the end of my handlebars.
Hi,
I have been a proud owner of a V7 Stone for a month now and love it even more with every ride.
I had a look in the manual for preload adjustment suggestions, but didn't find any.
How do you guys adjust your shocks to the right preload and are you changing it when riding with a pillion?
New rider with new 2026 V7 Sport here again. I noticed quite a bit of side to side play in the shift lever, and I am wondering if this is normal, or if that bolt needs a bit more snugging? Gonna check the manual to see if there is a spec for it.
