Forgive the promo, my channel is new so I'm doing the rounds manually. Hope some of you might want to check this out!

In this brand new interview, I talk with Mortal Kombat legend Dan Forden about working on one of the world's greatest gaming legacies with a dedicated focus on his experience as a musician - his influences and development, his philosophy about composition, tonality, collaboration and impact, as well as his work outside of MK including his excellent EP Warning Signs (linked from the Youtube description) and playing bass for Cheer-Accident, including on the 1996 classic Not A Food (check that one out King Crimson fans!)

For any musicians watching, really, this one is for you. Dan appears in the excellent Mortal Kombat Legacy documentary videos from last year but there's not as much detail on how the music was made (both in terms of arrangement and hardware) as I found myself craving, so I decided to reach out so I could ask him myself. He is my favourite composer of all time, and a very inviting and gracious guest with, as you'll find out, GREAT taste in music, including Haken, Gentle Giant, Korn, Lettuce, Meshuggah and more.

Dan goes into minute detail about his music for this extended conversation, and it was an absolute honour to spend the afternoon with him. He's the coolest guy going and we're already talking ideas for a followup, so get SUBSCRIBED my friends! It'd be a stone cold gas to have you - Paul

Martyn Ford breaks down Shao Kahn and the insane makeup process and the balance of keeping him in the real world!

really enjoyed this with Martyn. he was the perfect casting for Shao Kahn cause that character is such a make or break for the film

I prefer my opponent to do a brutality cause its cooler. But people seem to dislike both brutalities and fatalities when its done to them. Yes fatalities are annoying but brutalities especially when they are in a combo is cool as hell even if I'm doing or someone is doing it to me

I was doing a bit of practice with Baraka when I found out that pressing quarter circle X only makes him do chop chop, but if you press X quarter circle, he does the kick into chop chop.

I tried it with some other special moves too and it's the same. Is this common knowledge or have I just discovered something??

Edit: also just found out it only works if you connect the first hit (X) and then follow it with a quarter circle.

I just bought the game and im playing on an xbox one controller but as the controller mapping shows on the left it seems like im pressing 2 buttons at once when im only pressing one, ive tried to change the settings multiple times and the game continues to confuse one button as two, and the game thinks im playing on a playstation controller aswell for some reason. hope someone knows more about this than i do

Just posting cause I had never seen this happen before to my knowledge. Straight Cut, a Baraka brutality, was originally in Kombat League season 5 and repeated in 37. I was under the impression that it wasn't possible to get this one from the brutal difficulty towers since it was a KL reward.

Is this a rare exception or can this happen with other characters? Do you guys know any similar ones by any chance?

EDIT: So it seems like Straight Cut became a reward for a Ko-Op tower at some point which is why it's obtainable in towers of time. The more you know!
