I just learned that you can counter/defend with Hit Stab
I didn't see the update when it launched so I had no idea about it. It's so clutch!

I just hate it. bleed, almost never lands, and hitboxes the size of a truck, what is even the best strategy against it?

Alma is the COOLEST! She's so helpful, and has so many useful items in her jacket!
Maybe I should start putting some items in mine too, so I can be more helpful to Hugh!
Playing Wilds when this happened on a G.Rathalos hunt, I also carved a Gem from the tail
im like massively in love with the game Rn bc it’s so peak äs my first mh game and I chose charge blade and man it just feels so good. but there in lies à single problem, it feels weird to use anything but charge blade 😔. I heard for later game whrn optimizing builds charge blade falls behind current weapons in the meta so im at HR 31 and I try using long sword but charge blade just feels so nice and satisfying but maybe im using it wrong since it was like 1-2 hunts only. I want to get better with other weapons so is there any that function similarly to it or that are fun to pick up.
I have played wilds for some time long sword gun lance and a little bit of dual blades but I know weapons can want vastly different perks so I'm here seeing if this is good enough it doesn't have to be the best
It is a gog weapon and I'm looking to eventually re-roll it into Lord's soul with something else but that's expensive and time and consuming... sooo not there yet.
I'll go first.
Really the only ones i know is how you can pg a roar and get axe on CB for example, or how you can "offset" roars with hammer, idk if you can do it with other weapons, since my friend wasnt able to do it on GS (maybe he just missed). Staying with roars you can also dodge them with LS and I assume DB though i havent seen or tried DB specifically.
So im curious as to what other fun interactions you've either figured out on your own or seen it somewhere or whatever. And I mean anything, even monster specific things.
I cant turn this off can I, I know its something to do with the higher quality shadows that render around the player but damn couldnt the transition be more smoother and less visually cluttered?
I usually never use Reddit but I wanted to share the jank that happened last night during my Gog hunt. Enjoy
It’s so funny how the cutscenes make your character seem so confident and badass. But then I’m just like…

Concept artwork of the hardshelled aquatic life, Escunite, and the rare specimen, Grand Escunite! The latter appears with an all white body, compared to the gold color of the standard species. #MHWilds
Wyvernblast HBG is diabolical, insanely tanky with crazy burst damage and honestly the most fun I've had in a monster hunter title in a long time.
I know HBG has changed a lot but people gave me the impression it had been absolutely gutted and i nearly didn't even give it a chance,
If you haven't tried it yet I highly suggest you do :)
