So, I did another upscale of the Curse cutscenes...

This one uses the Starlight Precise model which just was released for Topaz Video. It's...different. The model is much more aggressive and sharper but it mostly works pretty well. I suspect not everyone will like it and critiques are welcome.

Do check video quality when watching - this is upscaled to (actually past) 4k. The final product I uploaded was 3840x2880.

The back map scenes are at the end after the credits if you _really_ want to see them.

I used (roughly) the recipe for a Green Hawai'ian cocktail and then added partially set lime jelly to give it a really gloopy weird texture. The pineapple juice actively tries to dissolve the jelly which mimics the game mechanics!

Lovely flavour, very disconcerting textures which was exactly what I wanted - I love it!

Does anyone know how the music was created for curse? It sounds WAY too good to be MIDI - surely it was recorded physically in a studio?

What is the best experience for monkey 2 nowadays?

I want Imuse. So I can’t play the SE version and have to go with the pixel old school version.

What are the best settings in ScummVM for Monkey 2 ?

What about voice over?
Then I shall use the ultimate talkie version patch, aye?

Some argue the voices don’t match the old art style…

Game glitch? Can’t find the VooDoo Lady

I’m on Act 2 of Escape from MI, and I’m at the point where I need to speak with the VooDoo lady and collect some items from her. She isn’t in the international house of mojo and I can’t find her anywhere else on the island. I went to the bar and got the painting, then went back to the house of mojo in the hopes that she’d appear there at that point, but no luck. Is this a glitch in the game or is there a workaround?

As a lover of both the Tiki/Exotica and Electronic genres of music, I feel like there's a bit of a void in the industry of artists and music that fuses the two.
