I was dealing with the 10+ minute loading screen (plumbob just spinning forever 😩) and finally got it down to like 1–2 minutes.

What actually worked for me:

• Removed broken/outdated CC (this was HUGE)

• Merged smaller CC files (reduced load strain)

• Turned off auto-save to OneDrive (this was messing with my files)

• Lowered a couple background settings (not graphics, just background stuff)

• Cleared cache files (localthumbcache.package)

Also realized having thousands of individual CC files slows things down way more than I thought.

Game runs smooth now even with a ton of content.

If anyone else is dealing with this I can drop more detailed steps—I’ve been messing with this for a while now.

I also put together a little Discord where I’m organizing mods + fixes + build ideas if anyone wants to share setups or get help.

💻 QUICK FIX DROP

If your PC is slow or games take forever to load, do this:

1. Turn OFF OneDrive auto-sync

2. Move your games/mods off Desktop/Documents

3. Restart your PC (not sleep)

4. Make sure your drive isn’t almost full

This alone fixes like 80% of “my PC is slow” issues.

Used simsweep to try and fix game slowdown. It ended up deleting ALL of my USED mods and kept the UNUSED mods, and now I came to find any of my used mods. To make things worse, now simsweep opens and goes completely blank and I'm not sure what to do or where to look anymore. I dont even know if I can get some of my mods back since they were paid for and such. I was going in circles and now im at a dead end.

I just had a 9 hour shift and wanna sit down and play my game I have MCCC whicked whims and animations extreme violence, extreme squabbles, road to fame and world tour mod core 51 and loading screen cursor I took out my mods folder and it’s what’s breaking my game

My sims are acting fools anytime i click on a trait, does anyone know what pose mod this might be.

It’s boring. There have to be mods that make them more varied or interesting or even juicy.

hi! recently, I reinstalled The Sims 4 on version 1.21 (yes, I know it’s not the latest version) and installed MCCC as well. on the website, I couldn’t find a version compatible with 1.21, so I downloaded MCCC 2026.1.0, but it doesn’t seem to be working.

I’ve already checked if I installed it correctly (and I did), watched some tutorials, and nothing seems to fix it :( the game recognizes that there is a script mod installed, but I still can’t access MCCC.

I also installed UI Cheats Extension to check if the issue was with all script mods, and that one is working normally. could anyone help me?

I’m looking for a mod, if it’s out there. I think that one of the most intimate things a couple can do is listen to each other’s heartbeat. It could be a cuddle pose, or done while hugging. If it’s available, I’d be very interested in grabbing it for one of my Sims. I tagged this post as NSFW because for some, hearing heartbeats is a fetish.

Not sure if it exists already or not, but I'm hoping it does so that's how I flaired the post.

So, Super Fertilizer from the old growfruit challenge event is available in build-buy if you show hidden objects. But you can only buy one at a time, you have to place them on the ground, and then you have to drag them into your sim's inventory. It's a real pain.

Is there a mod that makes that fertilizer purchasable from the grocery order or buy gifts phone app or something?

I’m having some issues with my high school years gameplay. Only one student shows up for class aside from my Sim, the cafeteria workers just stand outside the entire time, and the school day ends super fast.

This is the only high school gameplay mod that I think would be affecting my game like that. I haven’t updated to any new versions of the game in months because I don’t want all the issues everyone has been having with their mods so I’m currently sitting at the 1.20 update, so I can’t use the most recent updated version of this mod. If anyone has the 2.1 version, I would be forever grateful as I can’t find it anywhere online.

I’m looking for a mod that would be similar to the cloud gazing activity. It would allow two or more Sims to lay down on the ground, one resting their head in the abdomen of the other. It’s similar to that old “ha ha” game that is played as an icebreaker, if that helps. I tagged this as NSFW because some might consider it to be so.
