Minecraft did a number on me

Right after I killed the Ender Dragon, I set up a nice little extension around my portal so I wouldn't fall. Went got the Elytra, went through the portal, and it spawned me like 4 blocks under it, and I fell and died. I don't wanna accept dying like that after I put in soo much. So I got it back and decided to continue in hardcore.

I wanna know if shit like that happens generally, or was it maybe my mistake? Based on that, I'll decide if I should continue or start a new one. So whadya think?

700 days in hardcore and still made a portal wrong

i recently started playing my hardcore world again and wanted to build a new nether portal closer to my new base. after probably thousands of hours of gameplay and 700 days in this world, i still made it wrong..

About to hit a weeks worth of active playtime (~600 days) in my current hardcore run for the first time. Feels good! Here's my mountain isle fortress build, as well as two future prospects

Couple different angles of my build on a mountain isle, Fortress Boriadd. I built most of it pre-elytra, gathering a ton of tuff and scaling it every once in awhile to make progress. Currently hollowing out the mountain to get some cool interior going, but its pretty bland on the inside so far. Takes a looong time to get things done, even though this may be my most focused hardcore run yet.

Looking to lushify the large mesa i built near a desert village, Djahari Mesa, and throw some kind of palace on the top of it. Thinking lots of quartz and lazuli to really pop out amongst the sand and terracotta, and a hanging garden kind of look to it but not too overdone with the greenery.

Also found this wonderfully positioned village in between a snowy cliff, some sparse jungle cliffs and a mangrove swamp, the future Xtalic Grove. I'll finally get to see some of those cool swamp and jungle villagers in game.

Nether Star?

So I just beat a Wither for the first time ever. I have not even done this in regular mode. Not sure what a beacon is or what it is good for.

Any advice on what I should do with it?

Should I fight more and make more beacons?

Is fighting a wither near bedrock smart or dumb?

I am on a Nintendo switch and I'll tell you there was some maaaad lag when it destroyed the deep slate.

I can't believe it

I just upgraded to 26.2, and was going around searching for sulphur caves, and found this, idk the odds, but its big

I'm going to go have a nap after THAT one, Being that this is my first time playing Minecraft on the hardest difficulty, I can say that this scared the ever living hell out of me.

I must of hit them ages ago and forgot about it.

Minecraft has been such a fun game for me but that was something else.

MC HC is nigh impossible on PS5

Let's just say it as it is. The title speaks for itself.

To put it another way. Even if I was offered £1,000 right now to beat it, I would say with an enlightened voice "No"

I lost today because Phantoms got me. I was punished for not going to bed. For not having the tools to make a bed. There is no day countdown for their arrival. ALL THEY DROP IS SOMETHING FOR AN END GAME PLUS ITEM.

Yes I could have dug a little hole or gone into a cave or something. but by that point the damage to my psychedelic was already too great.

I'm into my 6th month of trying. I even found out and used to my advantage that you can put bundles in bundles.

This run was the closest I have ever got. I even ran around on the Lava in the Nether riding a Strider. I brushed past a Nether fortress.

"It's a casual game HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. It's for children HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA."

I literally took 45 minutes going from a to b in the overworld to collect the warped fungus from one Nether portal to bring it to another Nether portal. I couldn't travel in the Nether as..... well..... the developers may have actually forgotten that there's something called... FALL DAMAGE.

I think on PC Java version it would still be hard but not nigh impossible.

If I had of known the game was nigh impossible, I would have never bothered trying.

Are vanilla tweaks "cheating"?

What have we decided on vanilla tweaks in hardcore? (obv everyone has their opinion but general consensus). Specifically stuff like falling trees or other small tweaks that dont make the game easier but makes small tasks like gathering materials easier. I know the hardcore youtubers that do the crazy stuff that takes months use mods that make things easier but dont change how the game plays or add anything extra (for example the mod that lets you paste a template of a build or farm for you to follow). So my question; generally is that considered not a vanilla hardcore world if you have vanilla tweaks on?

I personally think that small tweak mods like that are fine even for the hardcore youtubers (mainly because most dont show us the weeks of footage of them gathering materials so why not have a mod that makes it faster?) but please tell me why others may consider it cheating cause i havent heard the other side before.

also i know it doesnt really matter especially for private worlds that no one will ever see but i kust wanna know.

Anyone know how to enable cheats in hardcore? I'm looking to give myself player heads for a memorial graveyard build of my friends who have died along the way in my world.

I used to be able to do this in 26.1, I love using heads as items in building, but unforchantely I can no longer do this. Anyone know a mod to do this for me?

I don't use cheats for anything other than having items to build with that'd make things look better., or spectator mode to take a better screenshot.
