Best way to avoid getting asked if I need help 1000 times?

Microcenter is one of my favorite places to shop. Sometimes I'll even take my son there to wander up and down the aisles looking at cool shit and explaining to him what some things are. I've never been in a Microcenter and not bought something, and I always make sure I get one of the employees to put their sticker on it to make sure one of them gets a commission whether someone helped me or not. However... sometimes it gets really annoying being asked every 2 seconds if I need help. I was in the Marietta store the other day just looking at what Ubiquiti gear they had in stock. In less than 5 minutes I must have gotten asked 10 times if I needed any help. I couldn't even think straight I kept getting interrupted so often. While I realize the employees are just trying to make a living, sometimes I'd like to be able to just browse in peace without constant interruption. Especially when I'm trying to spend some time nerding out with my son. Any tips?

4k for a 5090

Granted it’s the white Rog, but who tf is buying this right now??? 21 new, 1 open box. I’ll see how many are there by the end of the week. Manufactured scalping.

Open box score at Microcenter

I went in to buy this at full price. The sales guy let me know they had an open box, that they tested it and it was working perfectly, and if I had any issues at all I could return it. $550 off is awesome! It would have cost thousands more to build this.

Samsung QN77S90D 77" died overnight after 5 months. Microcenter will not honor the protection plan.

I bought a refurbished Samsung QN77S90DAFXZA 77" OLED from Micro Center. I also bought their 2-year protection plan. Five months later the TV just died overnight. No standby light, no response from any button or remote, completely dead. I had already tried multiple different outlets before concluding it was gone.

After doing research I found out this is an extremely well documented and widespread defect specific to the 77" S90D. The power supply board on this model is fundamentally underspecified for the power demands of the QD-OLED panel.

So I filed a claim with Micro Center under my protection plan. I submitted photos of the TV front and back and provided my transaction number. A few days later I get an email saying the model number and serial number on the TV do not match what they have on file from the receipt.

Here is where it gets interesting. My receipt shows QN77S90DAFXZA. The sticker on the back of my physical TV shows QN77S90DDFXZA. These are the exact same television. The only difference is the retailer distribution suffix Samsung assigns to different sales channels. Micro Center literally still sells the DDFXZA variant in their own current inventory. This is a store inventory logging error from the day I purchased it, they handed me one unit but logged a different model code in their system.

Currently waiting on the tech support team to get the situation corrected. Five months. A dead TV and a documentation headache. I will never buy a Samsung product again

Update: After a week of back and forth with tech support went to the store, explain the situation to a manager and got taken care of with store credit for the value of the TV. Pretty happy with my C5. Two life lessons: don’t buy Samsung and don’t waste time with tech support over the phone. Even an elderly person went to complain because he called tech support to set up his new printer and they say they couldn’t help him wtf.

how to get rid off or sell store credit (Tustin)

I have about $855 of store credit from returning an item I bought previously. But it's been like a year and I have nothing I want to buy from Micro Center. What's the best way to get rid off or sell this store credit? (I'm near Tustin)

Finally Pulled the Trigger

I was waiting for a good deal and it finally paid off! Microcenter had 65” C5’s refurbished for $899. Only 12 hours on this when I opened it, and no problems so far!

Bought the wrong power supply

In a bit of a jam here, made the pilgrimage to the closest store 3.5 hours away. Ended up buying too small of a power supply, gpu needs 800w min (9070xt) and I bought a 750. Is it possible to return by sending it back to them or do I have to go all the way back to the store?

Is this worth it?

Hi! Been eyeing to upgrade my pc since forever and I am looking for something that is future proof and something I can play GTA VI in 1440. Is this also good if I decide to transfer to 4k gaming? Is this upgradeable as well?

ps: this was priced from 4k USD and it caught my eye

Thanks! Please be kind, I am noob to pc builds 😔

I already own a PC but have been wanting to tinker with mATX builds and this had caught my eye and was able to get the last one before selling out. Thing is I'm strapped for cash and think this could be something I could resell for an okay amount if I put it up for sale. What do you think? Serious comments are appreciated

What should one expect at Micro Center?

Hello, I am asking this question because I am going to be in Brooklyn in August.

I’ve been really wanting to go to a micro center and this is finally my opportunity for me to go and explore as there’s one only 20 minutes away from where I’m staying.

So, I was wondering what should I expect? I know that there is the really good 7500x3d bundle, open box discounts, and various other things, but I don’t know how it actually is in there. Like, if I wanted to get the bundle for the 7500x3d, what time would be best to make sure it’s still in stock? Or, how much is open box usually discounted? As well, are raspberry pi’s less expensive there as they are an official vendor? I understand from store to store these things will vary, but I wanted to get a general idea here so I have a plan.

- Thank you for reading.

I’ve been wanting to upgrade for a little while and I finally did it sold my old system and the ram that came with this bundle for $410 . So this upgrade was only $300 with taxes. Cinna bench already bench marked higher than the ultra 9 285K
I have to say this thing is pretty awesome! I absolutely love the motherboard and how it’s designed with all the click button options for the M.2 drives and the GPU release . I also love the digital display that can tell errors or will show cpu temp while in operation. I already had Trident Z5 64gb ddr5 6000 cl30 so I did not need the ram that came with the bundle. Sold it as a package with my old cpu and mb . Overall I’m super happy , it pairs great with my 5090 .

G532 for 1,335$ or G527 for 1,440$

G532 100$ less 9070 instead of 9060 but 16gb of ram less

G527 9060 but it has 32gb of ram

I like the black case more then the white

Which of these is best bang for buck price?

I'm looking to buy a new PC to replace my older one soon ( i7 11700f, 3060ti, 32GB DDR4)and I want to know which one seems the best for the price that they offer. I saw that they had a couple of open boxes at a different micro center nearby for about $200 less for the higher end PCs. what do you guys think?
