We are 2 couples and looking to stay in Merida for 4 nights during Hanal Pixan this tear. We are looking to stay somewhere close to the center and do not plan on renting a car. We are trying to decide between Hotel Casona Origen and Villa Orquidea Boutique Hotel. Both websites look great with positive reviews. We are looking for a quiet place and walkable to major sites in the city. Any suggestions?

Somos dos parejas y estamos buscando alojarnos en Mérida durante 4 noches con motivo del Hanal Pixán. Nos gustaría hospedarnos en algún lugar cercano al centro, ya que no tenemos previsto alquilar un coche. Estamos tratando de decidir entre el Hotel Casona Origen y el Villa Orquidea Boutique Hotel; los sitios web de ambos se ven estupendos y cuentan con reseñas muy positivas. Buscamos un lugar tranquilo y desde el cual podamos llegar a pie a los principales sitios de interés de la ciudad. ¿Alguna sugerencia?

Can I climb the trees and grab them?

Personally: I come from the US, where plants are grown for ornamental value, and climbing a tree is a one way ticket to jail. Is it the same in Merida?
