whats your favorite version of Hal?

The new Shazam figure came in early in asia, so i took the opportunity to take photos of him. I was dissapointed at first but, the colors and cape carries this entire figure, I really wished they made a new head sculpt for him but the colors just pops so great. The cape also is wired but doesnt connect from the neck which really hinders some points in articulation and was a bit frustrating during my photoshoot. Otherwise great figure, I wished he came with lightning accessories but oh well. Great pick up if you dont have the page punchers Shazam.

Was not expecting to find this when I walked into a comic shop I almost never go to.

Amazon recently delayed my Black Canary order so decided to hit up GameStop real quick and found these guys. This is in Northern California.

Added my custom '89 head to the latest '89 body. I don't *love* it and I'm waiting to find a really good artist to sell a painted Nicholson head, I know there's some on eBay, but I'll wait.

As it is, I think it looks much better than McFarlane's head sculpt, which I put on another body and suddenly he just becomes this cursed little laughing boy XD

it's a shame we likely won't get a Caesar Romero Joker. unless Todd pulls a magic trick before the end of the year. we're getting a '66 Robin, so... who knows!

Great looking wave with some much needed characters. To rank them in order of quality:

6.) Supergirl: she's okay, the first appearance look is not bad. She looks much better in person but last year's Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow figure was better. Painted on boots don't help. The platinum is a little more interesting - would have been nice to get the curly long hair look with the headband to pull off a COIE look. (Don't have the regular yet but not expecting much from her)

5.) Lobo: he's pretty much a re-release with some minor differences (the top of his boots no longer have molded skulls). But it's a good re-release with all new accessories - the gun is very nice. The platinum is surprisingly the better look, with colors that pop giving him that cool 80s vibe.

4.) Freddy Freeman/CM3: they did very well with this one. The cape has gold trim (no wire though) and the chest has nice yellow shading to it, making it look like his logo glows. The platinum is very weak though - it is supposed to be Osiris, a different character altogether, but the lack of a different head sculpt and the white skin tone don't sell it. We need Mary Marvel before the line ends (red/white/black costumes)!

3.) Vigilante: one of my favorites. Lots of re-use from the Jonah Hex figure (most of his accessories, the belt, etc) but the bandana came out very well. The platinum is an ode to his JLU look and is my favorite - the blue and white make him pop and looks super heroic. Would love to see his partner, the OG Shining Knight, before the line is over, and any other SSoV characters.

2.) Black Canary: we finally got her and she is excellent. The regular has awesome fishnet stockings and a great jacket with a logo on the back. The platinum is an ode to her JLU look and is a great stand in for her classic look. Someone needs to mash those regular version fishnet legs onto the platinum.

1.) '89 Joker: one of the very best figures in the line. Up there with the Batman Returns Catwoman. I can't say enough nice things about this release. The face sculpt, even if it's not Nicholson, is top notch. The outfit has an amazing colorful pattern. Comes with a ton of accessories. He's a must buy. The platinum is a nice bonus, such a bright deco, almost fits better with '66 Batman. Interesting enough, the platinum accessories except for the megaphone are all painted matt black - I pictured him with the regular accessories.

They are hitting some stores now (EE, GameStop, MTS).

Ran into Target to take advantage of the discount this week and found something a little surprising and gross. The guy gave it to me for $7.50. Also found a Classified Mutt and Junkyard which he discounted 25%, threw in a half-off Marvel Legends Owl, and a 70% clearanced Miss Piggy Tonie and got another $10 off the total. Woo!

found this right now for $34.99 so I am going to cancel my BBTS pre-order. I think the likeness looks better in hand imo
