Seller says they're legit, and that the paint is custom

About 3 weeks ago I bought my first pair of Maison Margiela Gats off of Vinted for about €400. I’ve had trouble before with reps, so I made sure to get a second opinion by getting them authenticated through Vinted’s authentication team. They passed the authentication process and when they arrived a week later all seemed well. The shoes even had the original tags on from the department store and the seller included the receipt in the box which seemed totally legit. However, when I took them off yesterday I noticed the soles differ from one another, the left pair seems to have deeper engravings. Did I genuinely manage to somehow pay €400 for a pair of reps, or is this a common manufacturing issue among Gats?

might buy these as my first pair. Thoughts?
