watching every single mads movie - film #16; dust bunny | (role: resident 5b)
hello everyone! hope all is well with the community 🩷
i am still alive LOL a bunch of stuff happened irl that took up nearly all of my time so i didn’t have a chance to unwind and just chat about mads but now i’m back for a bit with a review!
i finally watched dust bunny so i’ll give my 2 cents on the movie
BUT before i continue let me give a fair warning and say that i have total opposite feelings on the movie in regards to most people in the sub and in general really. therefore if you love this movie probably don’t read my review lol
anyway let’s get to it! 😅
⭐️ overall movie rating - 2/5
⚠️ spoilers ahead warning ⚠️
😔
it’s really unfortunate that i feel this way because i was looking forward to dust bunny for so long but literally the whole movie was a chore for me to finish
the first half hour to 45 minutes were insufferable imo. too much going on and with such odd pacing. i get they were trying to set the scene and build up a story without using too many words but it felt like we as an audience were just thrown into the mix without even a smidge of guidance or context. it was awful to sit through
also i get how they wanted to bring on the “whimsy” but at times it felt so obnoxious. IMO (again my own opinion) it was very much performative whimsy and just beating fantasy to death. didn’t feel organic at all
and the plot was so paper thin…. i didn’t even realize it finished 😭 it lacked SO much substance and depth. like don’t get me wrong i understand childhood trauma and aurora being in the foster care system so it’s not that. it’s the overall meat of the movie. like they threw the script up in the air and everyone just picked up pieces and tried to put it back together
at least it’s not as bad as the movie where nick jonas is mads’ son 😭😭😭😭😭
but then again i liked mads’ role in that movie 👀 i can’t say the same for this… 🫣
ngl dust bunny is just not it for me 😔💔
HOWEVER if you liked the movie i’m very happy about that! in the end we’re just supporting mads 🤗🩷
Recent mads arts
Hi, I just wanna share some of my recent arts of mads here👀
mads movie 4 day recap - films #13-#16 | (roles:draco, jimmy,magnus & resident 5b)
- clash of the titans - 2/5
- vildspor - 3.5/5
- torremolinos 73 - 5/5
- dust bunny - 2/5
another movie batch down! 🥳
glad to see a 5/5 again! 🤭💕 i truly did enjoy torremolinos 73 so so so much. it was such a unique film and how mads talks about it now is so funny 😭
next up i swear i will get to the promised land! honestly i’ll have to watch again cause it’s been a while but not to worry i see a high a score in the horizon from what i can remember 🙂↕️💯
also something that i really appreciate about mads as an actor is that he is able to morph into every single character. they’re all so different and HE’S so different each time
all his characters feel like individuals and that’s really awesome. a lot of actors feel the same for every role they get casted in but for mads i’m so proud to say he never feels the same to me 😊
Hi it is my first time to attend a Comic con and i have photo op with Mads. Can someone let me know how long will it take? Can i talk with him or is it too quick? How many shots? I am overthinking i don't know what to do help me out
The Last Viking comes to theaters and digital/on-demand on May 29. It's super weird, but turns devastating and surprisingly sentimental in its final act. Worth it for Mads Mikkelsen alone.
