LOVE 911 ... OLD MOVIE BUT ... BUT IT DIDN'T AGE WELL ..

Hello everyone, I just finished this movie and I have a few things to say about it… I’m not going to say if it’s objectively good or bad, because I’m the type of person who can find something enjoyable in almost every movie… although honestly, it was pretty difficult with this one haha.

Maybe it’s because the movie is old, but the relationships between the main characters felt really strange to me. I would say that the male lead’s decisions were often completely irrational. I understand the movie was trying to show how self-sacrificing he was and how far he would go to save lives, but from my perspective, he was mostly making reckless and stupid decisions… and not just once.

The second thing that was really hard to tolerate was the way the male characters treated the female characters. I don’t know if this kind of behavior was considered normal in the early 2000s, but honestly… at times it was unbearable. Physical violence, the way they talked to women, the constant sexist comments… for me personally, there was never really a “redemption” moment for the male characters because almost every interaction still carried that same toxic attitude.

I honestly don’t even understand why the female lead liked this guy. There were so many red flags, almost no respectful behavior, and so many awful comments. For me, this movie stays a solid 5/10.

And if we look at their relationship realistically, I honestly don’t think these two would ever survive together in the future. Also, the idea of the female lead changing her entire profession because of one mistake didn’t feel logical to me at all. Yes, it was a huge mistake — I’m not minimizing it — but instead of continuing to save lives and trying to redeem herself through her work, she decides to abandon everything and completely change careers… it just didn’t make sense to me.

And the male lead… I lost count of how many times he basically tried to get himself killed with his decisions. I understand it’s an extremely difficult profession where heavy choices have to be made, but still… the way he behaved was honestly exhausting to watch.

Please don’t be too harsh on me — I’m only sharing my personal opinion. Watching how irrational and unbearable the male lead was became genuinely frustrating for me.

Thanks for reading! ✨
