Optimizing Claw 8 AI+
Claw just arrived, are there any up to date steps to optimize the device for gaming?

Do yourself a favor and play Replaced. Its on pc gamepass if you have it.
Seen it should be revealed at computex in June, when do we think it will be in our hands?
Hey guys,
Between all the handhelds which one is the best?
I like the look of the msi claw and rog ally x/Xbox ally x one they look similar to eachother I don't like the Lenovo one much because of the sliding controllers, it's a weak point.
Anyway between the claw and rog ally x what is the superior one and why?
Do you guys have both of them or just staying with one of them?
For those that were receiving errors while launching Pragmata (like I was), Intel released a gpu driver fix with .8735
Hey everyone.
I have both the Switch 2 and the MSI Claw 8 AI on my desk right now, so I put them head-to-head on Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. No
console warring, just a real-world test to see how they actually perform.
The Quick Breakdown:
MSI Claw 8 AI: Locked 60 FPS at native 1200p. Incredibly sharp, buttery smooth, and the speakers are fantastic.
Switch 2: Fluctuates between 30-40 FPS, but the resolution is surprisingly crisp with no jagged edges. It wins heavily on portability and having full HDR support.
Battery Life: Tied. Both gave me right around 2.5 hours under heavy load.
If you want to see exactly what the screens look like side-by-side, I posted a chill, no-hype video breakdown yesterday:

Curious to hear your thoughts if you're playing it on either device!
Hello guys, I’ve installed Optiscaler on crimson desert and switched to fsr and fsrfg, but I notice that it’s the same like native xess, can someone please share or explain how to set it properly for the best visual and performance? Thank you!
P.s running on MSI claw 8ai+
As the title says I casually play on my msi claw and after playing on the claw I found a broken m1 button, I’m very mindful and take care of ny own things , I’m just disappointed I have to send it out to get fixed with msi
Hi, I have the opportunity to get a msi claw 8ai+ for 400 euros , is it a good deal ? Im a bit afraid about ergonomics, some ppl were saying their palm hands hurt after a long session.
I read too that there is a LOT of tweaking to get a handheld full fonctionnal at his max capacity, is it true ?
Whats the other main cons of this handheld?
Thanks
Anyone find it odd that Claw prices haven't gone up like Lenovos prices?
I also do this with my rog ally z1e.
Driver 8629 , 1050p , 30 watts , boost off ,
xess:balance , fg x3 , graphic settings in video.
Video looks choppy because of frame gen , actual gameplay is smooth. Input lag is negligible.
Install optiscaler via optiscaler installer app.
Is anyone else having this problem, I've installed AMD Radeon Software from the MS store but it won't open ,
Tried uninstalling amd reinstating, also running as administrator but no joy
Hi, so I was wondering if steam os could be downloaded on the 8ai+, I’m not sure since many people are saying it’s possible but, it will be laggy/buggy…
Does anyone have any experience ?
Hello everyone,
I just got my Claw 8 Ai+ and was trying out different games when I noticed a problem. In games that have partial Controller support, when I use the touchpad even once, the gamepad stops working. I can tab out and use it in the MSI menus or elsewhere, but ingame it just stops. I tried swapping back and forth with gamepad mode and desktop mode, turning the gamepad in the quick settings off and on. No chance.
Restarting the game fixes it. Everything works as intended again until I touch the screen. Is that normal behaviour? Everything is freshly installed and aside from the usual jank I read alot about, its working.
If someone has the same problem, do you have a solution for this?
I just got my Claw 8 AI+ and I'm trying to update the BIOS
I tried using the MSI M Center
I tried downloading the installer open a terminal as admin and run it myself
Both failed.
Is there another way to do this?
Thanks guys
I really like this device, but I do sometimes question if the software was designed just to test my patience. The MSI Centre M app is just awful. Went to jump on for a bit tonight and spent almost 2 hours fixing failed updates, this one in particular was fun as it completely disabled all buttons and sticks then failed to install the latest version. All sorted now but MSI really need to improve their software IMO.
