Explaining the recent moves. (To the best of my ability)

Obviously since I'm not in the front office, there will be reasons that you and I can't fully predict. But, I think there are some obvious prints all over the recent moves that have struck a chord with some of the fanbase.

  1. Trading Bean away: Even though I've been a defender of Bean, I can't lie and say he's been efficient. His pocket awareness fell off a cliff after week 1, he's wildly inconsistent and tends to be a first read quarterback. Watching the tape there were almost a dozen pass attempts where Bean missed wide open targets or over threw a simple route. He's athletic, but really lacks consistency to win in this league, maybe with a year or two under his belt he'll improve, but this move screams "we want a team player who's more consistent". I and many others have also noticed, that there was a clear lack of passion with Bean on the sideline and seemed to grow aggravated with every loss. That takes a toll on the locker room, especially when you are the leader of the team. I think Rogers showed plenty in his brief relief time to be a starting QB and lead this team to wins.

  2. Cutting Benny Snell: This one was blatantly obvious and I found it hilarious that he posted on his TikTok after he got cut, poking fun at the move. If I'm being honest, Snell (along with Bowden before he got cut in camp) were more flashy names then they were actual good players. Snell clearly put on weight comparative to his time in the NFL, and you saw how that affected his game. He was brutely slow at finding holes, his burst was nonexistent, he couldn't even break tackles. He had one nice play out of the backfield all season. Robinson played better than him at the same role in his first game days after being signed. It's obvious why Snell got cut, he's just not good.

  3. Cutting Watson and Jensen: While both of these players were good pass protectors, they were awful and I mean putrid in the run, grading out as two of the worst run blockers in the league thus far. Jensen's technique was jarringly bad, and Watson could never seal and edge. This screams desperation to get some new faces in the room and try and improve this run game, as it's by far the worst looking run offense in the league. I think it also has to do with poor coaching and bad play calling but that's just me.

The Kings are 1-3 and their only win is one in which they squeaked one out against the worst team in the UFL. Moves are going to be made to improve the team, even if they don't seem like it. This teams also been riddled with injuries (literally losing their best WR before the season even started) so it's hard to put all the blame on the coaching staff, even if I will say Redman already feels like he's on a warm seat with how these games are going. I'm a Browns fan, and he reminds me of Kevin Stefanski in the worst ways.
