Subnautica 2 just proved Stop Kiling Games right

This has to be one of the most “you own nothing” EULAs I’ve ever seen.

Just a few highlights from what people gathered from Kraftons EULA:

- You’re not allowed to tarnish Krafton’s public image
- You’re not allowed to use a VPN while playing
- You’re not allowed to go against “social norms
- You’re not allowed to sue them
- Any related art you make becomes Krafton’s property
- You waive your right to a judge and jury

Straight opinion from our lawyers: this is not binding in the EU and may even nullify the entire contract, if it is going at the basic nature of the usage.
Did someone ask ChatGPT again how to tank this game?

We are looking through is in detail with folks from the European Parliament right now and will get back to you with some more info soon.

A software engineer at Atlassian got laid off in March after 8 years. His response: a 38-minute YouTube video showing how the company's entire tech works, free for anyone to copy.

Warning: Don’t Buy Movies on YT

A couple of years ago I bought some movies in HD on Google Play Movies. Now that it's gone, for no reason at all, the movies were moved over to YouTube. So far so good. However, don't believe to he able watching any movie you bought in just an acceptable quality, because someone over there thought it was a good idea to cap it at 480p.

This is a fair warning. Do not buy any movie on YouTube. It's a waste of your money, because you will never get it in HD or 4k, even if it's advertised as such.

In my opinion, this is fraud and deception and should be punished harshly. Don't give them your money as you won't get what you paid for.

Do with this post whatever you think is the right thing to do. Share it with people you know, upvote it for the subject to gain more attention. Or don't. It's your decision and I won't persuade anyone.

Microsoft Has Admitted To Stealing... - SomeOrdinaryGamers

>Hello guys and gals, it's me Mutahar again! This time we take a look at what appears to be blatant hypocracy from Big tech companies like Microsoft and many others. Forza Horizon 6 was leaked early and Microsoft showed contempt in those that stole from them while at the same time admitting to using stolen information to train their commercial AI systems. It's clearly rules for thee but not for me.

Don't forget: Bambu posted the workaround themselves 2024 [mirror]

I'm posting this here as a mirror, since it's not allowed on official channels. The workaround, posted official by Bambu in 2024 on their own GitHub project. Yes, it was actually posted by Bambu themselves back in 2024. The developer, Paweł Jarczak, simply picked it up for his fork.

Anyone can check this for themselves using the link; it goes directly to the official Bambu GitHub page.

The Death of the Free Internet | ID Verification & VPN Threats in New York (NYCOSA) - Gamers Nexus

>New York State lawmakers are proposing a new bill that would require identity verification under the guise of "age verification" in order to use basic functions of the internet, including direct messaging, video game matches, and more. The proposed bill would likely spread through the rest of the Internet like a plague, with video game and internet companies ceding to the strictest law for easiest compliance. We also think the bill creates avenues for monopolization of services, as account age may stand-in as an alternative. While better than ID verification, this creates avenues where it's even more difficult for new competitors to join the market. Long-term, we think this legislation goes after VPNs. In many ways, this mirrors the UK Online Safety Act.

Is anyone talking about the Flock cameras being installed all over the island?!

If you don’t know what a flock camera is think China level surveillance. Face recognition associated with massive detailed files on you watching your every move! In Britain they’ve been destroying these things publicly for months. Of course they don’t show us that here on US news. I have personally seen four of them. Fairly new. If you don’t want to live in a digitally controlled world then spread the word friends. Think this is a reaction to Luigi? Everything got rushed after that. Also the mods won’t let me comment on my own post just fyi. For those of you who’re commenting things like” it’ll keep us safe” try to remember who’s in charge of this country. Think Epstein elite that hates us. This and other means of surveillance will be used for their ends under the guise of public safety. I have been banned from r/longisland lol
