Fantasy/Sci-Fi books with world building/action/romance

I’m looking for something with over the top action that still carries weight and consequences when things go wrong.

As well as extremely intricate world building, maybe even a hint of political fighting and thought provoking conversation like GOT.

And of course just a little bit of romance and spice, a touch of fan service never hurt.

So far some books that I enjoy are Game of Thrones, G.A.T.E LN, Jobless reincarnation LN, Eisenhorn Warhammer 40k, Cyberpunk No Coincidence, and Overlord LN.

One shots are fine.

Thank you.

[TITLE] Light Novel Name Request

Hello everybody, I would like to know the name of a supposed light novel. I remember seeing a cover or image in 2016 of a girl with pink hair wearing a white face mask, and holding a basketball.

Hanashi Media removed from Kobo?

For at least a week now most LNs from Hanashi Media seem to be removed from my Kobo store. The ones on my Wishlist are still there but say "price changes" and the link ends on a "404 not found" page. Does anybody know anything about that or is it only a problem with my local store page?

Do most LNs read similar in terms of prose?

So I am not sure if this a translation issue, or this is how LNs are written.

I never read one in my life, but I read a lot of western fantasy novels. Today I gave a few LNs a try, I read a few chapters of sao and grimgar, and the writing just felt off.

The way it reads, it feels more like a movie script, everything is shown, either in the dialogue or the narration, and nothing is told. (Tell, don't show is a popular writing technique).

Just to elaborate on what I mean by it feels like a movie script: Basically every single action is described. For e.g. one line from sao: "She walked over to the window, touched the wall...turned out the lanters." It just feels like everything is explained and spoonfed to me.

And if I just flipped to a random page and read a dialogue without context, I couldn't tell which character was which. They all sound the same.

Did I just pick 2 badly written/translated novels, or this is just how LNs are most of the time?

I am also not trying to shit on this genre, if it's not for me, then it's not for me, but I am just curious if they are all like this or not.

Chitose is in the Remune bottle, is cringe and people should stop comparing it to Hyouka, SNAFU, Bunny Girl Senpa and other stuff like Monogatari.

I have always loved heavy, deep, and philosophical or psychological dialogue a witty high school romance like Hyouka, Bunny Girl Senpai, or Amagi Brilliant Park, to name a few. So I thought I would like Chitose is in the Ramune Bottle, but to be honest, I found it cringe. While it was similar in dialogue to the above-mentioned, the dialogue when they were not trying to be deep was so cringe that it even made the deep dialogue cringe to me. I dropped it in episode 3 without even completing it, so my question is simple: Should I pick it up? Does the cringe dialogue - like Chitose's jokes and the normal, non-deep discussions with his friend group -get better, or should I just forget about watching the series?

And no, it is not even like Hyouka and other introspective, witty, dialogue-heavy series. In all of them, the depth comes naturally and it is pretty easy to miss some of the deep dialogue. For example, in the Monogatari series, when Hanekawa's house got burnt down and she was staying with Hitagi - the two of them were eating, and from that they started discussing their similar taste in food, then there was a mild argument when Senjougahara hated Hanekawa's taste in food, and they used this to discuss Hanekawa's personality and the psychology of the "perfect girl in all categories." But the thing is, they flowed naturally into one another you would not even know when a deep talk began. And the talks when they were not being deep were so natural. Chitose sounds like PJ Masks-style when they are not trying to be deep. The point is that shows like Hyouka, Bunny Girl Senpai, etc., feel so natural in their dialogues and feel like smooth sailing. Honestly, does it get better, and should I pick it up, or should I just not bother watching it?

Help me find this title please

Hey, I read this a while ago and am wanting to reread but can't remember the title so any help would be appreciated.

A woman is transmitigated/reincarnated to the interstellar beast world. Upon arrival she finds herself to already have multiple husbandsfiances/mates who are currently wanting a seperation from her but she devastated her wealth trying to keep the marriage.

As the Mc awakens she finds herself in a ball, meeting the mates and granting their request while immediately matching with new ones. The problem becomes though that the system matched her with five or more (can't remember exactly) males all of which are locked in a desolate pollution filled planet as they are losing their minds.

The Mc travels to this plant and mistakenly gets hired on as a cook (she is only other living being on this plant besides the mates as all other workers are robots). Vengeful ex mates proceed to block supply shipments causing the Mc to use her wood/plant based powers as well as water ones to grow food. The vines she grows also have a purifying affect on the polluted males and grows stronger the more pollution/rampage it calms down

Any help would be greatly appreciated in finding this book. Thank you!
