Vented Carbon Fenders

I’m unbelievably pleased with how these turned out. The fitment was great and I think they look phenomenal.

what else would you add?

I wanna spend some money on some cosmetics but I’m not sure what else to add. Nothing tacky. Already has wing risers, carbon front lip, tints all around + windshield, full valves catback exhaust and intake. Was thinking maybe some paint matched side skirts but yet to find a pair that I like, what would yall add

Secondary Cat delete Rc350

Hey guys my current exhaust setup is the remark Axleback w/o mufflers along with resonator delete. Im debating on removing the Secondary Cats and replacing it with a straight pipe next but iv’e head people say the drone and rasp would be too much. Would it be better to replace it with 2 vibrant resonators instead? The goal is to have a louder but deeper tone as well.

How to clean the interior?

Hi everybody,

For cleaning the interior from dust, I usually only use a moist microfibre cloth. Is there any better alternative?

I would also want to know what is the best product to clean/condition the leather on these cars like the seats, the steering wheel, the doors trims, and the dash. Considering they are not real leather.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

A year of eliminating wind buffeting and noise with my custom RC wind deflectors!

It’s officially been a year of developing my wind diffusers for the RC platform. They’re 3d printed with PETG and stick onto the triangle panel with 3m tape.

My testing found they reduce wind noise by 4 decibels which is equivalent to a 55% reduction with the windows fully down at 60mph. It has also completely eliminated the rear seat belt flapping. I’m able to drive with the windows down comfortably at highway speeds. I have a video demo on my instagram @fr_racing_eng for anyone interested.

We’ve put them on over 75 cars (quite a few redditors) and they’ve survived sub 0 temps, a year of street parking, track days, and speeds well into the triple digits.

Thank you everyone for the continued support, as a student, it means a lot.

:)

Rhode Island has to have the worst drivers ever man. Had this 2015 RC 350 for 3 MONTHS until an uninsured driver totals my car, on top of that also popped my tire on the way to work cause this state has the worst roads in the entire country. Wouldn't wish this on my worst enemies. 😓

Just picked up a 2015 Lexus RC350 with ~93k miles. Planning to keep it for a long time, so I want to get ahead on maintenance instead of waiting for things to break. Also why is there barely any information on the Rc350s 😭. And sadly due to the inner tire wear on front and rear, it seems that I can squeeze maximum of 15-20k miles 🥀

From carfax, I see:
Regular oil changes
Front brake pads and rotors changed at 80k
Brake fluid drained & filled at 80k
Fuel pump replaced (Due to a recall)
Tires replaced + alignment done

Car kind of revs a bit high before going to 4 -> 5 but other than that, no warning lights or weird noises.
I’ve also been fixing some cosmetic/interior stuff recently:
Replaced the infotainment screen (old one was really faded)
Replaced the gauge cluster/speedometer cover
So I feel like I’ve handled the “cosmetic” side of things, and now I want to focus on the actual long-term mechanical maintenance.

Around this mileage, I’m wondering what I should proactively do:
Transmission fluid — drain & fill or leave it alone?
Differential fluid — am I late on it? Owners manual says 60k
Coolant — not sure if it’s ever been changed
Serpentine belt — replace preventatively?
Spark plugs — should I do them soon?

Im a 20 yo junior in college, and plan to keep this car for a very long time. I would greatly appreciate any

Flutter when accelerating?

For some reason, when I accelerate sometimes and reach about 20 mph there’s a weird jerk that can be felt and then the car continues to accelerate . Been dealing with for last 20k miles and no lights. Is this a common thing or what should be done. I took it to a mechanic over a year ago and he couldn’t pinpoint it either

Lexus RC350 brakes squeaking

Hi all!

Brakes for my RC350 are squeaking like crazy. Before it was just when I first start the car but now it squeaks every time I brake. it’s so annoying and embarrassing.

I got the brakes checked last week and nothing was wrong with it and they are at 75% so they did not recommend changing anything yet.

But please suggest what I should do and what brake/roters do I need to look for specifically. I know this squeaking noise is a known issue for RCs.

Thank you!

CarPlay

Probably a bad question but I just got a 2017 rc350 fsport and was curious on something do those CarPlay usb adapters work for adding CarPlay or would I just have to replace the head unit itself?
