Bone Golem

This is a straight rip from u/that-bro-dad

Saw his design and thought it would make a great mini boss in a dungeon crawl. The limbs are a little finicky but it has some fun powerful pose options.

I have a bunch DnD figs and scatter I’m working on and hope to post soon.

Hello everyone,

I'm very close to releasing the second expansion for Brassbound; World War J. It features new missions, new units and a whole new way to play the game.

I'm looking for a few people who can commit to reading through the rulebook and giving me at least 3 suggestions / recommendations for changes.

Let me know if you're interested?

Custom Air Force by Bricks and Boosters

Shared with permissions. I really like both the colors and model designs. It's very evocative of an alternate 1920s and I'm here for it.

Knights of the Air is a free two player air combat game that you can download for free. The game is in active development and includes five scenarios, rules and building instructions to get you started.

What’s a mechanic that works great in traditional tabletop games, but completely breaks when you try to adapt it to Lego? Is there such a mechanic?

I know there's a sweet spot on the venn diagram of wargamers, parents, star wars fans, and lego fan that I fall into.

I want to play something with the kids like Star Wars Legion. I'm not looking to spend that time painting though, and lego sets also give additional functionality as toys and quality building time.

I understand that the SMART Play system is getting mixed to negative reviews as lego model sets, but there seems to be some additional value in durability and play-sense. Since they're play focused, the sets released look pretty great as modular pieces for a tabletop game - and from that same perspective the ships are not weirdly scaled, but look just the right size as well.

I think the smart brick itself is underutilized now, but could have some potential as we explore with it. I know the critique is that the voices are silly, and while I agree... the brick utilizes a synthesizer, so I understand.

These are just the thoughts rolling around in my head. What are you guys thinking?

The Nexus of Zelda – Warsurge 800pts Casual Game

Played a game using Legend of Zelda, Nexo Knights and some misc (like Bionicle) for a crossover battle at 800 points. Used the casual rules from the Warsurge game system, had Hyrule castle ruins and some rocks as objectives.

Most people use Warsurge for gaming with miniatures, but it’s been great for Lego too.

I like how you can customise your own units and weapons (for example, Link’s sword could attack at range when he was at full health). If you want to download the rosters we used, they’re here and can be used in the game’s free app:

Zelda & Nexo Knights

Ganon’s Onslaught

USR-RSTR-V001-0000-9D4E881C-6D4A-F111-8EF3-000D3AE0C075

Ganon’s side won by hogging as many objectives as possible (pun intended given Ganon was in his big pig form). Hope you like the pics.
