I lived in Leadville for a little bit in 2013/2014... worked part-time at the Alco for a bit mostly to have something to do, shoutouts to anyone else who worked there at that time lol. Moved on to different places here and there afterwards but Leadville always had a special place in my heart.
Wife and I made a trip out to CO last year for a concert at Red Rocks and we stayed in Eagle so obviously I had to show her around Leadville and it was pretty shocking how different stuff looked. To be honest I was a bit sad at how much it seemed like it had grown up in only 10 years and how the field I used to watch foxes run around in with my dog east of Poplar across from the Safeway was all built up now. But it's better for the town I suppose.
Sometimes I really wish I had stayed out there, so hopefully y'all are doing well these days
