Tiffany-esque lamp I found while clearing out my grandparents' house (ON, Canada)

From what I can see, there's no maker's mark anywhere on this piece, so I was just curious if anyone is more familiar with Tiffany style lamps/knows any resources I could look into to get more info on this. It's really gorgeous but is missing one of the posts holding the shade onto the base. I don't plan on selling it, just curious as my Nana doesn't remember where it came from!

I'm an archaeologist, so my expertise definitely lies before the invention of electricity 😅 so any pointers would be much appreciated!

The Eternal Flame

Mid-century modern design attributed to

Yasha Heifetz. Produced by the Heifetz Lighting Company circa 1950.

It features a hand-carved solid oak base with fluid, organic forms often referred to as a "Flame" or abstract figural design.

Original fiberglass shade MCM / this is one of 2 I have in my bedroom.

How can I safely hang a heavy Murano glass lampshade from the ceiling?

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a Murano glass lampshade and I’d like to hang it from the ceiling. The problem is that it weighs about 5 kg (11 lbs), and the opening at the top is around 70 mm (7 cm).

I haven’t been able to find any lamp holders wide enough, and I’m worried that even if I do, they might not support the weight safely. The reducer rings I’ve seen only go up to 60 mm, and while I know I’d need a ceiling canopy with a safety cable, I’m not sure what specific hardware or fitting I should use to actually hang the shade.

Does anyone have experience with something like this or know what kind of piece I should be looking for?

Thanks in advance!

I want your opinions on shade size

I like the small shade but hate the brass or gold cover for the threaded wire holder. I just don’t like the long giraffe neck.

I like the look of a shade sitting lower, which I accomplished by adding a small harp and medium shade. But I think the medium shade is a tad big.

So, I went to ChatGPT to see what the small shade would look like sitting low, without the brass or gold tube.

But ChatGPT keeps flattening the shade when I say remove the brass tube and lower the shade! 😂

A few of my recent finds

I love them! I cannot find any maker's marks or anything on them, so I don't have any information. The telescopic one is from the 60s according to the person I got it from.

Picked this up today …

Does anyone know anything about this lamp? I rescued it from the thrift store today knowing nothing but that it seemed quite unusual. I would love to know more if anyone can help. Regardless, I am delighted by it.

Some Leaf Lamps.

I crowdfunded for a commercial license to produce these lamps from Moduluma out on Makerworld. Can't share the files, sorry. :/

I've added my own spin by adding in some modifiers to inlay designs on the leaves. I wanted to show them off here and see what you all think.

Yes, it takes forever to print them. I have about a weeks worth of printing time for each. With the lithophane style being maybe a few days instead. More time into trying to do the litho in the leaves than just adding the inlays. Has to be a favorite though.

I made them on my own time and boredom. Trying to move forward with some business ideas in mind, but I don't have much feedback. I'm not on Reddit much, so if this is just an overdone thing I'll consider that. Thanks!

Lamp shade help- conversion?

Thrifted a lamp shade today and I’m struggling to figure out how to get it on a lamp? Doesn’t seem that the decorative piece comes out for a harp lamp base. Thoughts? Second photo is from underside.

I like lamp

I’ve always loved lamps thanks to my grandmother. I found the vintage post modern ufo lamp at a thrift store for like $10. The stained glass lamp I just recently got on Facebook marketplace (shoutout to Larry) for $35. I love her because she is my first stained glass lamp and I adore stained glass in general. I love seeing everyone’s lamps in here! Anyway here is my small but growing collection!

My mom bought this somewhere in the USA at least 20 years ago.

Anyone seen one of these before? A google search 20 years ago said 900 dollars.

How can I get a lampshade on this?

Is it do-able as a non-electrician renter?

Help Identifying this tiffany style lamp?

Bought this a few weeks ago. I've been unable to identify it or it's maker. No stamps or marks that I can see.

Any ideas?
