How to trigger high impedance , normal, external mode on lg v60 with volume controller

first the earphone must be connected to the volume controller before plug in

1.high impedance mode: set the volume to 75% before plug in

2.normal mode : set the volume to 100% before plug in

3.external mode : set the volume to 0% before plug in

high impedance have the fullest volume ,external mode more volume than normal mode and normal is basic volume..you can also use this this method with any earphone, headphone that got volume controller built in

People that have installed LineageOS on the LG V60, what has been your experience?

I'm about to flash it, and I'm not interested in the second screen and my country doesn't use VoLTE or WiFi calling, so it will not affect me not having IMS. But if you did, have you noticed any improvements? Additionally, which camera app do you use for photos and videos? I've tested many and the stock LG camera washes blacks out and makes every indoor picture look foggy.

Hi-fi mode question

I recently posted a question about a different issue with hi-fi mode. I made some discoveries while trying some things.

I thought I had correctly done the cable swap trick to trigger high impedence mode for low impedence headphones before, but it turned out that I hadn't. I accidentally triggered it now when I switched from a more sensitive headphone (48 ohms) to more basic earbuds. There was a noticeable difference in sound quality and a huge difference in volume level.

After that, I tested my new desktop amp with the more sensitive headphones. This provided a fix for the hissing problem this pair has when only connected to the G8 on hi-fi mode. Again, much lower volume than before while sound quality is noticeably better.

Does that mean I had never experienced the quad DAC before this point? Before today, when I toggled on hi-fi mode, the volume would go bit lower and change from increments of I think 6 to increments of 1. The quality changed slightly too but there wasn't a clear difference. I thought that since there was a definite shift from normal mode (toggled off), including a slightly lower volume, this was the quad DAC activated.

Also, I came across an old comment that suggested the cable swap trick triggers "aux line mode" as opposed to high impedence mode. Isn't that what normal mode is called? That comment suggested "aux line mode" enables lower volume while high impedence mode enables the hi-fi sound quality.

It feels like I didn't understand anything about the quad DAC until today.

Is it safe?

Hi, my V60 just lies down in my drawer but it still works fine except USB. I wanted to use it on my bicycle as GPS but I'm not sure if it's safe.

The only apps I'd have l, apart from basic pre- installed apps, would be: Camera to take photos/ videos but I'd still have my personal phone with me so V60 would be spare camera, Komoot to work as GPS, Google Maps as above and it would be all I guess. I'd have the SIM card in the phone to have Internet (registered to my name because it's mandatory in Poland) and it would connect to my home WiFi. Could my personal data be in some kind of danger as the phone has "old" safety patches or I'm just panicking?

Sorry of it's stupid question but I'm not "computer guy".

New Phone Ideas

normally I would be looking for something that was the next step after the v60. however, I have retired and can settle for much less.

I looked at the new Sony, I love it, not ready to spend that kind of money or sign another two-year contract.

pixel seems interesting, yet I hate to tie myself even more closely to Google

Samsung of course has many quality phones out there that I could get inexpensively on swappa

I thought maybe there would be some off-brand phone that would be fun to use without making me feel I had stepped too far down

I have no interest in the iPhone

as long as I'm asking, is there an above average Verizon reseller I could work with once I change phones. I'm staying with their Network because it is the strongest signal at my house.

Notification panel issue

Hi everyone,

I’m having a weird issue on my LG V60 ThinQ.

When I swipe down from the top, the first swipe (notifications) works normally. But when I try to swipe down again to expand the full quick settings panel, it sometimes doesn’t respond.

What’s strange is that this issue was happening a lot before, but after updating to Android 13, it completely disappeared for a while. Now it’s starting to come back again.

Also, when I restart my phone, everything works perfectly for some time, but then the problem eventually returns.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Any ideas or fixes?

Thanks in advance!

Forced reboots when connecting to mobile data, frequent data connection losses. Battery/hardware fault or possibly software related?

TLDR: random reboots primarily when first using mobile data. Batt% seems irrelevant, but slightly more often while low. Random disconnects from mobile data very often.

Just hoping to figure something out before I give up and upgrade. I love this phone. Any help/experience is appreciated!

Is a failing battery really gonna cause all these restarts? Possible antenna or SIM card issue causing such battery drain?

Let me know if you have any questions about my phone's software or parameters.

---------

So I've had my LM-V600TM since '21. I am on Metro PCS/TMO in the US. It was never able to update to Android 13, not sure if that's relevant. It has worked great for years but in the last 10 months it's been having issues.

Definitely thinking the battery health is poor, sometimes after restarting the % will jump around randomly or just drop weirdly fast. The phone's hidden menu claims it's "good" but I don't agree lol.

The data-connection rebooting issue will happen even at above 80%.

Is just connecting to data really that power hungry?

Basically certain things to do with first connecting to data will restart my device, but not if it's on a charger. Turning off airplane mode after using that for a day-ish is almost a guaranteed way to cause this. Only other time I get forced reboots aside from using data is when the battery is under 30%, like using the camera. I am pretty much on the extreme battery saver mode 24/7.

However, heavy data usage while off the charger, like video streaming isn't much of an issue somehow. Just things to do with *starting* to use data after not using it for a bit, or so it seems.

A bit older but possibly relevant issue too is that it will disconnect from data altogether quite often, and virtually every time I leave a Wi-Fi network. Going into settings>data>mobile networks>network operators>select automatically will reconnect it, usually. I had tried a few different APNs to no avail. For some reason it just won't reconnect on its own.

Often I can't make/receive calls, regardless of being on Wi-Fi, or 5G. I have Wi-Fi calling on all the time. Even on a fast Wi-Fi network it still won't make calls without a good data/network connection, and not at all with data turned off. I'm assuming Metro is VoLTE only? Sometimes calls still won't work even with a "good" 5G connection. Not sure if this is normal lol.

I can't think of what else might be relevant..

3D printing data for back housing

I've seen 3D printing data for smartphone cases and dual screens for the LGV60, but I've never seen any data to replace the glass back housing. Does anyone have any?

Have you ever wanted one?
