Hello all.

A friend told me about this server and I'm tempted to jump in, but first a question...

What's the PvP status? He told me it's a PvP server and I had the (disgrace) of playing on one when I was much younger at launch because I was forced to (ohhh, pvp is much thrillinggggg, lotsa funnnnn). I hated it with passion (looking at you goddamned rogues sneaking on me while fighting, mining, whatever)

Not much time has passed since this server opening, but I guess it's enough for the first skirmishes sooo... how is it? Is it bearable?

I played some classic before on official and private servers but actually never got beyond lvl 20.

Most played was probably paladin. I didn't like hunter who everyone was advising for a new player.

I enjoy healing in some other games. So either DPS or healer. I'm thinking Priest, Druid, Shaman or maybe warlock but it scares me a little because of managing the pet..

I want to mostly enjoy the levelling, so it's not so important for me to be the best in raids.

Kronos V has now been live for more than 4 hours, and what an eventful launch it has been.

Some people told us that by the fifth launch things should finally go smoothly. Apparently, after more than 6 years between projects, you can still accidentally connect the wrong database and temporarily turn thousands of players into aspiring Game Masters. Yes — for approximately 4 glorious minutes, some of you experienced the forbidden power of GM commands before reality was restored less than 8 minutes later.

Except for this tiny “world-ending catastrophe,” we were also busy live-tuning dynamic respawns and resolving some heavier server lag during the opening rush. Thankfully, most of these issues were resolved within the first 45 minutes, with respawn adjustments happening even faster.

At the end of the day, despite a few launch surprises, Kronos V is now stable and running extremely well, especially considering the absolutely insane number of players online right now. Honestly, the population exceeded even our own expectations. We knew the timing was good, we knew Vanilla nostalgia is powerful, and yes, maybe we got lucky in a few areas — but this level of interest still caught us completely off guard.

We are only human. Even with years of experience behind the Team, unexpected things can still happen during launches of this scale. What matters most is that the issues were identified within minutes and resolved quickly and professionally.

Most importantly, we would like to sincerely thank all of you for the incredible support, patience, memes, excitement, bug reports, panic messages, and overall madness surrounding today’s launch.

We hope Kronos V becomes a great home for both current and future players, and we wish you nothing but the best possible pure Vanilla experience.

I would like to highlight all of you as the Kronos TwinStar community, which showed incredible interest and support for the project. As the Community Manager of the Helios project, I witnessed an unbelievable wave of players during the server launch, and I later tried to capture that atmosphere through this reel.

It may only be a small glimpse, but hopefully it still shows at least a fraction of the thousands of players who were online at the time.

I'm on CachyOS and can't find a way to install any of the launchers..

Hello there,

which faction do you think will be more populated? I don't have THAT much time and will need to rely on running PUGs and stuff. I am guessing that the more populated faction will offer that the most. My main focus will be PVE, I don't aim for extensive BGs grind... TY in advance

Hi homies, I have been trying to setup Superwow to run on Kronos but no luck at all. I put the dll file and superwow launcher into Kronos client folder. First issue was antivirus, no problem at all, I disabled it/made exception.
Then I tried to run the Superwow launcher but nothing happens, I can see that something tries to load but immediately stops, no process shows up, no error message, nothing.

I would just skip superwow but I would like to get a plate addon that shows by colour which mobs I am tanking and which not. Anybody has advice please?

i have this weird bug that doesnt show items i link ( shift -left click ) the items i put in , anyone got a fix for that? am using jimothy client btw

Anyone know if it's possible to play on mac? (without using vine or wtv)

I created toons on KronosV yesterday but right now I can only see Kronos and KronosPTR on realm selection. Anyone else experiencing this?

ik theres something i have to delete in a certain folder or set up there i just cant remember what it is

Title says it all... Checking the discord I don't see many NA guilds, and none that would work for me. Thank you
