I bought this grind fresh wheat and it’s grinding kinda ok, it’s slow and gets really hot but mixer is fine and only gets a bit warmer than usual probably because I’m using it for 45mins as that’s the maximum it should be used when using this attachment.

I’ve read some stories from Amazon reviews on this attachment saying it destroyed their mixer, is that true? what is your experience with it? Should I keep it or return it?

Any idea why KitchenAid even sells these if it destroys your mixer??

I’ve acquired both of these from deceased relatives (RIP 😔) in the last few years. Which one should I keep? In terms of usage, I usually just do a lot of cookies around the holidays and other stuff maybe every couple months.

Hi guys! I came across this 8qt. commercial mixer on Internet. But looking at the pictures, I noticed that the dough hook looks c-shaped, instead of spiral. Is this normal? I am getting this mixer primarily to use for baking. Could someone assist me here? Thanks!
