Has anyone heard about optics played failing and sights losing their zero? Specifically for rmr plate that comes with bag. Got a call from dealer saying they recommend buying the Dawson optics plate listed on Kimbers website. This is the first I’ve heard of it and wanted to see if anyone else experienced this or knows of it
Is the Stan Chen magwell the only option for the oem grip modules. As much as I would like to just get an MJD grip and magwell, it is tough to spend that much when i feel perfectly happy with the grip I have and just like the mjd style magwells better.

The grips were custom cut by me, I ordered the material from Talon grips, the texture is Talon Pro. I recommend doing this if Talon (or any other maker) does not make a grip for your pistol. It was super easy to do.
I just ordered a kimber rapide to be shipped to a local FFL for transfer, as the guns in Kentucky and it was a deal. It is currently on the Massachusetts roster.
Kimber has a rapide LCI that’s seen some places online, and then the regular one.
The lci has this “loaded when up” bar, and the rest do not have those words. But they all have the tiny little port hole on the rear of the chamber area.
Is this considered a loaded chamber inductor? In Massachusetts a handgun needs to have either a magazine disconnect or a loaded chamber indicator regardless of if it’s on roster for an FFL to transfer it and register. The kimber manual for the gun I ordered states that ALL kimber 1911s have the loaded chamber indicator port.
I recently bought a new rmr plate with integrated rear sights for my warrior ds 9mm and i failed to realize when ordering that the rear sight is very tall in order to cowitness. During reasearch i learned that apparently kimber uses a proprietary cut for their front sight dovetail and i have been struggling to find any front sight that will fit the kimber dovetail that is taller than .150. They are just backup irons but it still bugs me haha any help is much appreciated

Shoots great, no where near as snappy as my Canik MC9
The only issue is last round about 25% of the time the round won’t feed
But I believe it’s a mag flaw with ramp in the mag pushing to far up in front
Besides that I love it
