Just got offered a Fellowship for MSc in Plant Biology for fall 2026. I am still not 100% decided I will accept it. Anyone who already goes to KAUST, how is the life on campus? What is there to do outside academics? What are your overall thoughts and experiences? I would highly appreciate any insights.
Has anyone been accepted to KAUST for Fall 2026 and is still graduating in June 2026?
A friend of mine was admitted, but she received an email asking her to submit official transcripts so onboarding can start in May. The problem is that she will only officially graduate in June, so she cannot provide the final official graduation documents yet.
Has anyone been in the same situation before? Did it affect your admission or onboarding process, or were you allowed to submit the final documents later?
Admissions has not replied yet, so any experience would really help.
So im aware that housing is provided…and all the benefits to it as well. But do you think someone who is already living in Jeddah upon acceptance can continue to do so? Definitely a long trip. But would this decline someone’s chance to continue? Curious.
I have a cgpa of 3.29/4 from the best university in my country and I wish to apply for a MS CS in KAUST. Everyone here seems to be emailing PIs? I researched the application process but after reading through the sub I am worried if with my CGPA I will cut it.
Does anyone have any recommendations before I start the application process?
Edit: I do have a research publication and some work experience!
Alhamdulillah, after three plus months of radio silence, in the span of less than two weeks I was contacted by a member of faculty, interviewed, and accepted. I do not know why KAUST has been so slow this year, but just know there is hope for many of us who feared we were ghosted. I hope to see many of you on campus in August, inshallah.
Hi, is there any solid news that there are budget cuts at KAUST in general? Like staff scientist contracts are not renewed etc?
Those who passed the interview, how long did they wait for an answer?
Anyone still sitting on admissions review for fall 2026? Deadline is April 30th but we have been told applications are reviewed on a rolling basis as they come in so unsure what’s taking them this long to move it along or just reject. The waiting game is unbearable
Has anybody received any information regarding the results of MS in CS I applied in Dec 25 before the deadline of second cycle and have not received anything yet and have been stuck in admissions review since ? Am I being ghosted or it's just a rejection at this point ??
Can people that currently working on academia not as PG students apply for VSRP?
