I kinda love when a movie drops a backstory right at the beginning. It helps when it looks and sounds cool as hell! It sorta reminds me of the opening scene in The Terminator.
What do you think? Got any other examples of movies with similar openings? I feel like it can establish the tone well and very quickly.
What age do you headcanon Johnny Bravo to be?
We know the character is in his 20s based on the Valentine's special, but if you had to put a specific number on it, what would you guess? I feel like the character was probably envisioned as 23 or so in the pilot and Amazonian woman shorts (and remember, 23 in 1995 was VERY different than 23 in modern times), and then when it become an actual show he was probably meant to be around 25. I feel like in the Valentine's Day episode (i.e. his birthday), he turned either 26 or 27. So overall, I think he's been no younger than 23 and no older than 27. Not saying he ages in real time though. The oldest I'd put him is 28, based on that one episode where he got his first grey hair.
