Squirrel damage - can I safely splice this?

Got a check engine that confirmed I had a spark plug issue. Went in to fix the problem (yes I was going to do all 6) and I discovered a squirrel actually was the cause.

My question is can I splice this wire back together? If so, can a heat butt splice work, 18-14 guage?

Thanks.

My 2door Jk Evolution

Hello everybody, just wanted to share some progress pics on my build, I’m happy how it’s standing but it’s just the beginning!

Can’t recommend JL/JT front brake upgrade enough. Buttoned up, 100% plug and play. In my case, no modifications needed - I’ve read the need to modify/trim your dust shield to clear the JL/JT calipers, but you gotta have those to trim those. I upgraded after my driver side seized up. Very easy job.

Rock Auto, reman NuGeon calipers (Napa sells these as well) and a Powerstop brake kit (Z36 pads and solid vented rotors, not drilled and slotted). Pics of part numbers included if anyone’s interested.

RTT Questions

My new-to-me 2013 JK. Looking to do some light trails and camping. Started looking into rooftop tents. I figured I'd ask here, what kind of recommendations for roof rack to support an RTT and two adults. Also if you have opinions on a tent, that would be helpful as well. Thanks for the guidance.

Recently added a cargo cover and I'm wanting to relocate the finding seat to make it as secure as possible. Does anyone have any direction on that process or lead me to a resource on how to do it?

Bottom line: I have a coolant leak coming from a fan shroud fastener hole on the radiator of my 2014 JK Wrangler (108k miles). I’m fairly confident the radiator needs to be replaced, but before I order parts I want to confirm (1) whether a fastener hole leaking coolant definitively means the radiator is cracked/failed, and (2) whether this leak is likely the root cause of a persistent mild overheating issue I’ve had for nearly a year.

Background: My 15-year-old son and I picked this up as a project Jeep last summer. Shortly after purchase we noticed a small but consistent temperature spike — gauge climbs between the 1/2 and 3/4 mark — at highway speeds around 65 mph. We did a full coolant flush, replaced the thermostat with OEM Mopar parts, and refilled with Mopar coolant. The spike improved slightly but never went away.
The Jeep sat most of the winter, and recently we found a small coolant leak on the passenger side near the radiator — quarter-sized wet spot on the garage floor. After pulling the air intake box, the leak appeared to be coming from a fan shroud fastener hole. I removed the fastener and confirmed coolant was actively dripping from that hole.
My questions:
1. Is coolant leaking from a fan shroud fastener hole a clear sign the radiator needs replacement, or could there be another explanation?
2. Could that fastener have been too long and punctured the radiator tank — and if so, is there a correct spec I should verify before installing a new one?
3. Is it reasonable to connect this leak (and possibly a slow loss of coolant over time) to the highway temperature spikes we’ve seen for the past year?

What are the top 5 things to take care of in advance outside of fluid changes.

Looking to keep my jk in tip top shape.. need to know the recommended things to get on top of beforehand.

Example would you guys recommend replacing the oem radiator for a larger aluminum one?

On a side note it’s my wife’s mall crawler.
