What was yall OTD and where you located?
ticking, or I call it "clocking" noise, is your two stage oil pump when the solenoid goes into duty cycle. If you listen under the engine you will notice that it is loudest under the crank pulley where the oil pump is located inside the upper oil pan. Also if you shut the engine off then immediately start it up again you will notice the noise will be gone for 30 seconds then you will hear a solenoid click and that clocking noise starts up again. Your oil pump is chain driven and has two ports, one is for constant low pressure of 29 psi and the other port is high side pressure controlled by a solenoid for higher rpms
