I don’t remember the model. I’ve had this for at least 10 years. I like the cnc case, mop dial and crystal indices. The leather strap is comfortable and the watch fits well on my little over 8” wrist.
Definitely one of my more interesting looking watches. 47mm Bronze Reserve Man of War model no. 23573. I don't wear it that often, it wears larger than 47mm, and the sharp edges make it fairly uncomfortable when bending my wrist.
Just the other day, I brought this watch to a watchmaker for a battery replacement. He tried to open it by twisting the caseback, assuming it was screw-down. In the process, he broke two of his tools and left a few scratches and nicks on the back, yet it still wouldn’t budge.
To be fair, the caseback does have notches that make it look like a twist-back, so if you didn’t know any better, it’s a reasonable assumption.
At that point, I noticed a small notch on the case. I asked for a screwdriver, gently pried it open myself, and it came off with relative ease. Turns out it wasn’t a screw-down caseback after all.
All in all, quite the experience and I ended up with a free battery replacement and scratched caseback cover.
