Today is the second Tuesday of Jyeshtha month, a day of special significance, a time for the transmission of new energy.

🌙 Apara (Achala) Ekadashi

Apara Ekadashi is dedicated mainly to Lord Vishnu and is believed to help in inner cleansing, forgiveness, and reducing karmic burdens through fasting, prayer, charity, and self-discipline. It comes in the Krishna Paksha of Jyeshtha month..means Today .

🚩Murugan connection ...

Courage and victory over inner enemies .

Wisdom and spiritual discipline (his Vel/spear symbolizes cutting ignorance)

Youthful divine energy and protection

Because Apara Ekadashi focuses on self-purification and discipline, some devotees see a subtle spiritual harmony with Murugan worship:-

Ekadashi leads to purification of mind.

Murugan worship leads to strength and clarity to overcome obstacles.

In South India, some devotees who worship Murugan may still observe Ekadashi fasting, especially if the family follows both "Shaiva and Vaishnava" traditions.

A simple spiritual practice on this day could be:-

Vishnu mantra or Ekadashi prayer in the morning

Murugan prayer (like “Om Saravanabhava” or “Om Subrahmanyaya Namah”) for courage and wisdom

Light sattvic food or fasting as per health and capacity.

The sacred day of Apara Ekadashi is often connected with purification of karma, clarity of mind, and silent inner correction.

The word “Apara” itself carries the feeling of “boundless” or “that which removes heavy burdens.”

In spiritual symbolism, this Ekadashi acts almost like a subtle cleansing bridge between the mind, speech, karma, and destiny.

In the language of the nine planets (Navagraha), this Ekadashi has a very deep hidden connection.

Sun (Surya)⛅

The Sun represents ego..

On Apara Ekadashi, the harshness of ego is softened.

Moon (Chandra)🌒

The Moon governs emotions and mental waves.

Fasting and prayer on Ekadashi calm the restless mind.

Mars is action and aggression.

Apara Ekadashi teaches disciplined energy instead of impulsive reaction.

Mercury rules...

But Mercury easily absorbs surrounding energy.

If the company, thoughts, or speech become impure, Budh becomes unstable.

Silence purifies speech

Speaking less on Ekadashi strengthens Budh.

Simple food sharpens intellect

Heavy food creates dullness; fasting creates subtle mental clarity.

Mantra stabilizes nervous energy

Vishnu mantras balance scattered thoughts.

This is why many spiritual traditions quietly connect Ekadashi with...

wisdom,scripture study,mantra chanting,self-analysis.

Spiritually, Apara Ekadashi teaches: - “Intelligence becomes divine only when speech becomes pure.”

🪔Jupiter (Guru/Brihaspati) represents...

dharma,blessings,divine guidance,

punya (spiritual merit).

Jupiter expands whatever is pure.

But before expansion, purification is necessary.

That purification is the hidden role of Apara Ekadashi.

Therefore,

Mercury cleans the mind.

Jupiter elevates the soul.

Mercury gives information.

Jupiter gives meaning.

When both work together during Apara Ekadashi...
