An older work of mine from 2016, acrylic on canvas. Ishtar is an ancient Mesopotamian goddess, sometimes referred to as the "Queen of Heaven."

Acrylic on wood panels in a freshly-gilded antique frame supplied by the commissioner of the project who also had my name and the title ("Castigo" means "punishment" in Italian) engraved thereon. Inspired by an older painting of the same name by an artist named Romolo Bernardi.
