I (23f) and my bf (25m) are currently having a debate on "extra long vagi*as" and their existence. I have been trying for at least 30 minutes to explain to him that extra long pads are not correlated to vul*a "length". I have been trying to explain to him about how all ladies have different looking lady parts, just like finger prints.
According to my bf, the "S" "L" and "R" on tampons mean "small" "large" and "regular" (he also thinks there's some with "M" on them for "mega" ???). He believes that the size of the tampon depends on how "dilated" the woman is. I have tried explaining to him that they are based on how heavy the flow is and that a light tampon will *not* be like "throwing a hotdog down a hallway".
I have tried explaining how extra long pads are used/worn and when they are usually worn (really heavy flow, size of underwear, sleeping, etc).
He thinks I'm effing with him and does not truly believe me. I don't know how to explain this.
Please help me explain this to a very *smart* :| man
Edit: I'm sorry for the formatting errors as I'm on mobile.
Update 1: my boyfriend has since told me that he "learned a lot today" so that makes me think he believes me. He said he has learned about the different sizes of aforementioned above and what the terms "cis" and "queer" mean.
