A Recap/ Live-Listen Series that Explains the Show?

I first started the 2006 seried years ago. I got maybe a dozen or more episodes in before giving up. I got too confused and even with watching a recap video or two on YouTube, I could barely follow what was happening.

I was wondering- is there a podcast/ YouTube series that breaks everything down? Somewhere I can get a recap of each episode (I think I need things broken down by episode). I enjoy the show, but after taking a few days off, if feels like I am jumping back into a new show I have never seen before. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thoughts on chapter 7.

Okay so this is a continuation to my last post on chapter 6, obviously, if you haven't finished chapter 7, avoid this post and if you read anything after chapter 7, please refrain from spoiling.

This chapter had the most answers, I miss the question arcs already lol.

Rika's character is already very good, this chapter is very thematically rich, rika is a very universal character, she touches on many topics; What does it mean to change fate? How can we change fate? Are we really even bound by fate or are we illusioning ourselves into thinking so?

It goes over the thought processes behind children who are under abuse, and it shows us how we can save and be there for them, it demonstrates how our actions, which we think can only affect us, affects others. It highlights the importance of connections/unity on a micro level (the friend group) and the macro level (the hinamizawa villagers) in achieving goals and the dangers of emotional isolation especially regarding the loss of self, and many other topics that together with the other chapters, explore a lot of dimensions of all the topics.

ANYWAYS, now this is regarding the plot

Okay so Hanyuu was really oyashiro sama. Although I gotta admit, the "rika being hostile towards Hanyuu" as a premise is pretty hilarious now that I finished ch 7 lol. But yeah.

Takano was really behind everything.

I hate her so much she GOTTA go. My poor rika 💔💔.

I guess we will (unfortunately) see more of Takano's character to understand her motives more in ch8.

Okay so yeah as I said, the script writer was takano, the performer is our MC with maybe ooishi? (Not sure about ooishi now because he did not talk to anyone in particular this time), and the watcher is Hanyuu. Yeah, the stuff in common between every 1-6 chapter is one from the friend group goes paranoid, ooishi or takano talk to them, sonozaki family is suspected. I thought rikas dance would also be a rule but now that I think about it more, it would be stupid if one of rikas actions would be a rule that constitutes the tragedy. BUT, I WAS SPOT ON. Rikas dance and her death had a lot to do with the disease and takanos plan, I'm actually very very happy and proud that I got a lot of things right, although I'm kinda embarrassed with the takano time loop theory lol.

Tomitake🥲🥲

The demoning away/replica link thingy couldn't have been more off, but still then, why did they lie to keiichi about satokos uncle in ch3? Was it maybe because ooishi thought whoever will kill satokos uncle would be the one behind oyashiro sama curse and they were trying to cover for him?

Oh I also found it funny that rika made fun of mion for being the only one who doesn't go paranoid lol (ig she didn't know about the sonozaki family rule, with it ongoing, mion can't go paranoid I think)

I still don't understand how rika got the syringe in ch6, that's pretty confusing for me, and I still don't know if my hypothesis regarding who keiichi saw in ch5 and ch1 is true or not yet.

I still didn't figure out why no disaster occurred in ch1 despite rika (probably) dying by mountain dogs? Why is it different from chapter 3, 4 & 6?

The final scene where everyone reaches out for Hanyuu is my favourite scene in the whole game, next to shion's conclusion in ch 5. This was so emotional, I can't wait to see what surprises the next chapter holds.

Anyways, I really really hope for my mental health's sake that they get a happy ending, AND Takano has to go. She can't be forgiven.
