So. Last week I published some templates for 40k factions so every factions can create their own homebrewed color schemes and base of the lore. (You guys have been really nice, thank you very much!) and... welp I liked doing all that stuff and wanted to do more. So I created a drive where I put all the templates of the factions (In HD) here: All the templates

But wait, there is more! I started to add some ressources I used to do the templates so you can all easily use them if you want to craft your own template page. It's still barebone but I'll try to update some more when I can. I also added a little picture for the size of all the fonts on the template and the name of the font (Elegant Typewriter - by Lukas Krakora) so you can easily change some of the stuff as you want.

There's actually 42 templates, I don't think I'll add a lot more as I mainly covered all the lineable factions and subfactions of the 10th edition (plus lot of obscure astra militarum regiment because... well I wanted to draw them). Maybe I'll try to make some Necromunda later but work is coming back and time is running low again!

Anyway, I sincerly hope it help anyone who like me love creating homebrew lore, even for ourselves, and welp... now at least I have my own drive to easily do mines.

NB: You can use the png I posted or the one in the "Transparent" folder which only have the line on it. Classic png with blank can easily be painted under if you change the layer in "Multiply" mode, which will let all the colors behind white being visible anyway.

FEELINGS ABOUT 11TH

What are you all feeling about the recent news regarding 11th edition?
My main concern is the detachment situation for my beloved Clowns. We already know that most detachments in the codex will stay at 2 Detachment Points, which means our only viable option would be Ghosts of the Webway. The new detachments will cost 1 DP, and the Grotmas ones will either disappear or be reworked to fit this system.

For me, Serpent’s Brood was by far the best way to run Harlequins, so if it disappears… we’ll be back to being basically unplayable again. It makes no sense that they released rules for us just six months ago only to remove them now. Maybe they’ll reduce the number of stratagems and enhancements and turn it into a 1‑DP detachment that can work alongside Ghosts of the Webway.

What do you think?

My very first Harlequins!

Found a supercheap deal for this whole Eldar lot (pic 2).

I'm very happy since vintage Harlequins were on my wishlist for several years, but I never found any affordable ones.

Now to think of a colourscheme.

I'm thinking teal, purple and greens or something?. Choices choices...

Anyway, just wanted to share because novody i know really cares :)

Some MVPs of my games: Skyweavers, Solitare, and Troupe Masters!

Game 1 Loss : Armored Spear Tip Ultramarines: Dang are these guys fast! I deployed way too far forward with my falcon that wasn't in reserves and he ended being able to use it as a foothold to catapult some charges into my dz turn 1, not only that but for the only game of the event my skyweavers struggled to hit any of his vehicles, with both times each squad ending in a total of 4 hits from them throughout the whole game (4/32 shots hit :C) this ended up in a bit of a blowout.

Final Score: 48-86

Game 2 Win : Mont'ka Tau: Was in a very dominant position throughout the game, until round 4 where he began to spike primary and denying me it, however the MVP of the game was my Troupe Master that was left who grenaded a piranha to death on turn 5 denying my opponent the last 5 points in primary he needed due to lack of units.
Final score: 72-68

Game 3 Win : Mont'ka Tau 2 electric boogaloo: My opponent brought a fricking Storm Surge! was so excited, for the game it seems me and my opponent had both our dice in terrible luck for this game, he struggled to hit while I struggled to wound, which for the first two rounds meant only a few units died, however on turn three I decided it was the go turn, I blitzed my Solitare out of the falcon, then proceeded to one shot the Storm Surge with a full falcon buff and grenades from a troupe that was positioned nearby to kill his ghostkeel, and my skyweavers in this game did the lords work on turn three, taking out a riptide, and two broadsides in one go, a troupe master lived on 1 wound till round 4 out in the open holding down the objective in no mans land. from there the lead was snatched and I was able to have free reign as needed to score to my hearts content.
Final Score: 97-70

End of Day 1: was feeling great, my goal for this GT was to not get blown out the water and go better then 0-6 and so far being 2-1 have now far passed my expectations!

Game 4 Win: Guardian Battle Host Aeldari: not going to lie, was a little nervous about this matchup as soon as I saw my opponent had an Avatar of Khaine in his list, as my list didn't have much in way of dealing with him, turn 1-3 were basic trades between us with a falcon spiking with its pulse laser and with the help of a shuriken cannon to kill a Fire Prism, however on turn three I had a troupe squad that had managed to survive a full swooping hawks squads and allowed me to fadeback onto the objective in his home field and with it being Linchpin I was able to deny him primary as he left it after his guardians stickied it, with that I was able to start running away with primary, and on turn three in a flury of grenades, falcon shots, and dev wounds I brought down the Avatar, and from there it was a sweep as my troupes killed the guardians and picked off the last few units had leaving behind nothing but 2 Fire Prisms and Eldrad with two warlocks left

Final Score: 78-66

Game 5 Loss: Needgaard Oathband LoV: Oh man, this game was brutal! not an insane amount to say , but the worst moment I had was charging into a unit that was near a unit that could heroic for free and fight on death that I had meant to charge with another unit to prevent it. however I also had some insane save rolls throughout the game, but even with that it ended in a blowout with me being almost tabled by end of turn 5

Final Score: 56-100

Game 6 Win: Virulent Vectorium Death Guard: At this point in the event I'm absolutely pooped and was just hoping for a fun last game! my opponent rolled up with morty and a defiler... oh man, however, on turn one, he had his defiler exposed just a bit too much, which allowed me to push both units of skyweavers and a falcon out turn one and blow it up in a round of shooting! but after the first unit of skyweavers shot the defiler was then able to fire back and completely WIPE out the unit, from there I charged a unit of spawn that he had scouted up with the surviving skyweavers unit screening out the rest of his army on turn 1. on his turn one he pushed his Morty and daemon prince out and expectedly wiped the skyweavers out and took the center objective. Now on turn 2 was my absolute zenith of the game, where in a sequence of shooting with a falcon, grenades, and melta pistols, and a fight phase a naked troupe squad took down morty, and from there the lead and momentum was way too heavy in my favor, even when he brought down his terminators, I was able to hold out and continue denying primary and kept outscoring him!

Final Score: 87-82

Overall: for a first GT? I felt great! my opponents were generally all great with a single minor hiccup and with how much fun I had at the event I will for sure plan on attending more GT's in the future!

test paints done!

Building my Harlequin army from two Brattle Force boxes. Really excited to get this going. I've never done Army scale painting with such a mix of cool colors.

DAE ever feel the urge to dance on fluorescent skulls?

There was a painting challenge on Instagram called #paintitgrimpop and I thought a harlequin would fit it perfectly.

Cleave in 11th

The new cleave rule has me genuinely excited for Harlequins in 11th and I don’t think people have fully clocked how strong this could be for us yet.

One of the biggest issues with Solitaires right now is that we actively avoid throwing them into chaff, which is kind of ridiculous lore-wise.

On paper they should be blenders carving through entire formations. In practice, using a Solitaire to clear trash infantry is usually a waste because:
- he massively overkills elite targets already
- he kills “efficiently” rather than “completely”
- and if enough bodies survive, he just gets dragged down by sheer weight of attacks

So most of us use him as a missile into:
- characters
- elite infantry
- weakened units
- precision trades

You don’t really look at 20 Guardsmen or Gaunts and think “that’s where my Solitaire is going.”

Cleave potentially changes that completely.

A Solitaire normally sits at 9 attacks, or 12 on his Blitz turn. Into a 20-man unit, even cleave 1 would push him up to 19 attacks normally, or 22 during Blitz.

Hitting on 2s, that’s around 16-18 hits before you even start factoring in things like sustained hits from Serpent’s Brood dismounts or any other buffs we might end up getting in 11th.

And if GW completely loses the plot and gives certain Harlequin weapons cleave 2, it gets stupid very quickly.

Honestly though, it fits perfectly.

A Solitaire should feel like an unstoppable chain of momentum once he gets into infantry. The lore has always described them as this blur of impossible violence cutting through entire formations, but on tabletop they can sometimes kill 7 guys then get folded by return attacks from whatever survived.

What’s even funnier is imagining this on a Troupe Master.

If Weaver’s Wail survives into 11th in some form and can interact with cleave, that profile becomes mental…
- S8
- 6 attacks base
- AP-2
- D2
- hitting on 2s
- rerolling 1s

Into a 20-man unit with cleave 1 he jumps to 16 attacks at S8 D2. That’s suddenly proper infantry-clearing output instead of just precision damage into elite targets.

I know this is pretty much pie in the sky until we see the rules, but I can’t see troupe masters and solitaire’s NOT getting cleave in some capacity.
