My Spartan Armor

I got this amazing picture of last weekends event where i meet allot of my Halo buddys!

I need to share it!

Picture got taken by: @jessys_pictureworld (instagram)

An Model is obviously me: @mrbrainplay (Instagram)

But i need to make a new Helmet this one in the picture weighs around 2kg to 2.5kg and for multiple days of events its a nightmare because of the neck pain i got after wearing it for 9hours. For one day its no problem.

But what do you think i'm a chunky boy thats one point why the Gernadier Helmet fits in the overall look but i was thinking maybe i print the Halo 3 Hayabusa Helmet from GA

Have a great week everyone

New helmet

This is my new helmet, the Paladin helmet from Halo infinite.

This helmet is going to be for my new cosplay,I absolutely LOVE the big chunky look of the helmet nice and tanky, it fits the theme I will be going for., I really like the weathering I did, I think it looks nice and used, but nothing crazy.

The visor is resin printed. sanded, glossed and chromed.

Does the scale on this helmet look right?

I tried to scale the helmet as best I could using these reference photos. I’ve seen a lot of pretty sleek, form-fitting ODST builds, but when I look at in-game screenshots and renders like the above, the helmet is actually rather large on the ODSTs. I’m 6’1” 170lbs, so I’m kind of a string bean. But to y’all’s eyes does this seem to match the scale I’m going for, or is it too large?

I assume the chest and shoulders would widen my frame a bit. So maybe it’s too early to tell.

Hello 👋

Just starting my journey into making my first cosplay and im going to go all in.

I have access to a bambu labs H2D printer and the 3d models for the helmet and armor. But im looking to make it my own.

Heres a concept so far, but I was wondering if there are any accessories that are suited to the heavy gunner role that anyone can suggest?

I plan on making a large pauldron and adding ammo pouches / med bag / grenades and a set of lights on the other shoulder.

But any tips or knowledge will be greatly appreciated as im jumping in from a DIY enthusiast level of skill 😀

Thx

Another update on the helmet build

First pass of filler primer.

Interior has been fiberglassed for reinforcement.

Foam and electronics planning coming next

I finished the 3D modeling warrior helmet from halo reach a few months ago. I ended up 3d printing it. Gravity was not kind to the faceplate, So I fixed some parts and printed it again. I was thinking of posting to cults3d, posting here to gauge interest.

Printed on a Neptune 4 plus in PETG.

Just bonded the two halves together with minimal warping and sanded it down.

Fits on my head perfectly to scale too

First time ever printing with PETG.

Rear shell is looking cleaner than anticipated, front part is coming along nicely and will be done in a few hours then onto post processing and reinforcement with fiberglass cloth on the interior and filler and bondo for the exterior.
