Last night I sat in a depression. Munster had to do one thing, one thing: Beat Connacht. They lost, with 5 points going to Connacht. Had Munster done the right thing, the top 8 was secured and our place in the Champions Cup. Now this may be down to Lions vs Munster to secure our place, the last game of the URC.

We played well against Leinster. They were too good, but we were better than the scoreline. All I can think of (thinking back a few games) is Ritalin to some of our locks to help them focus. But my blood is red.

Are we seeing the beginning of a realisation that staying with the Lions in fact is good for your rugby? Or am I just biassed in my belief that at best some of them have stayed at the same level as the move did not benefit their rugby?
