Merch at Stores?
I’m in Vancouver for business and want Goldeneyes merch. Is there a store that carries jerseys or shirts?
Thanks!
OFFICIAL: Brian Idalski hired as Czech women's hockey head coach
This is from the Czech hockey's official website. Assistant Coach Ivo Mocek worked under him with the Chinese program and KRS for a little context.
This news has also been confirmed by Kyle Cushman on Twitter this morning as well.
Feel free to share your thoughts.
Season ticket renewal issues?
Is anyone else still having issues with renewing their season tickets? We still haven’t been charged our renewal fee and we haven’t been able to get a hold of anyone including our ticket rep.
Update: Our payment finally went through!! We’ll see you all at the nest next season💙💛🤎🤍

Well, uh, this was sure not on my bingo card.
Feel free to share your thoughts.
Yay?
idk I got nothing, hopefully Harvey is every bit as good as advertised
Looking for a sweet Goldeneyes Bumpersticker
You know, something to put on my Taco so other people come up to me and are like "Hell yeah! Gay hockey best hockey!" And we become friends and watch games together.
Preferably something with an actual duck in the design. Ducks are awesome.
All the stuff I found was not outdoors ready.
It didn't go as hoped, but I think we all knew deep down it was going to be difficult the first year.
What is everyones high points from the season? What do you think the team can build from?
As a bonus, what was your favourite game of the season?
I'm not sure if I'm just suffering from Canucks trauma but does anyone think the pick won't be Caroline Harvey? I was listening to Cara on Sportsnet and she talked about how the number one pick could change depending on team need after the expansion draft.
I don't watch a lot of the NCAA but watched the Olympics and Harvey seemed pretty clear of every other player. Seems like it would be a pretty big miss to not pick her.
The other names like Laila Edwards and Abbey Murphy look good and are obviously top prospects but do they a generational type player ceiling? Any dark horses?
Hey y’all! I’m not sure if anyone else experienced this or not, or if it is something I should be concerned about yet, but the first Goldeneyes season ticket renewal payment was supposed to be yesterday, and the money was never withdrawn from my account. I had selected the 50/50 payment plan, so the first payment was supposed to be yesterday, along with everybody else, and the second payment was going to be September 1st. My payment information is correct. I was wondering if anybody else had this issue, or if anyone knows who I should contact regarding this issue if it’s something I should be worried about. Thanks!
Hey! PWHL fan from the start but never got settled into a team. Big KK Harvey fan and confident this is her landing space. Also followed Sarah Nurse for years. I am wondering if anyone has one or two fun facts for each of the women on the roster? Help me know them better a bit.
Kinda new I watch the oilers alot. Though I don't know where to watch the PWHL.
The expansion process has been released. This sounds like it could be devastating to the existing teams, but may not be because they may be encouraged to build outside the league. Having said that, we need to strategic and who we prioritize in the first phase and the third phase. Who would you prioritize in the first phase and would you prioritize the third phase?
Based on the Hockey News, it seems like this year’s expansion might not be like last year and they are moving away from the tradition expansion and more with a player choice model. People are already speculating that it means that the new expansion teams may get their first choice of free agents (inside and outside the league). How badly would this hurt us? Or do you believe that the majority of the players in the team want to stay? Again, players do not have to accept whatever is offered to them.
Round 1: Nurse, Jaques, Maschmeyer
I think all three are self-explanatory. They have all been consistently our best players at every position throughout the year. It's a good place to start, as you have three of your best players guaranteed to stay for another year.
Round 2: Bell, Vanišová, Daniel
Bell is the team captain so yeah she's definitely the first player to be protected in this second round of choices. I know T hasn't been the player that we've expected so far from her, and a large reason of this was because in the season prior to joining us back in Ottawa she was shooting at crazy shot percentages that was very much above average and this year looked to regress to the mean. However, I feel she has definitely been our best and most consistent playmaker and driver, especially later this year. And Daniel once she figured out the system here has for sure been one of our best and most consistent players as well.
Players that are common choices but I decided not to go for:
Gardiner: I know the reasons why everyone would want to protect her, but honestly with this year, it seems like players have more rights to choose where they want to go. And I think Gardiner is just not gonna leave this city (much like how Watts and Spooner are never leaving Toronto under any circumstances) for obvious reasons. Therefore, I think it's kind of a waste of a protection spot on her, especially when there are other players that are more valuable to keep behind.
Miller: Similar to the reasons above.
Thompson: Yeah, I think there's just too much uncertainty around her to really fully commit to protecting her.
Boreen: A couple of months ago, I would've definitely protected her, but I think she's really disappeared in the later half of the season. I remember it was a similar situation in her previous seasons as well, and it's just really hard to predict if she will bounce back at the start of the next season either.
What are your protection choices? Feel free to reply below.
Hi Everyone — is anyone attending the paint the ice event tomorrow at the Coliseum?
I’ve signed my family up to participate, and when filling out the waiver, it wouldn’t allow me to do one for my son because the waiver is only for those 5 and older (so says the form when I tried to select a 2022 year of birth).
Has anyone seen any communication about age limits for this event or do we think it’s just another form related glitch?
Thanks! Looking forward to tomorrow!
UPDATE: just wrapped up our time slot, there were multiple families with kids under 5. Even though I was told at the door that kids under 5 weren’t allowed because they wouldn’t be able to complete the waiver (?) that didn’t seem to matter! So still mixed messages but they were not stopping anyone from participating! Enjoy! You may get a Goldeneyes player meet and greet on your way out!
She was a front runner for a while for PWHL but I haven’t heard anything about her
