Thanks for an amazing night!
Nearly four hours of drama, intrigue, disgusting cookies, and flying Q-Tips. My throat is sore from laughing so much.
GLPS poster
To everyone who bought a George Lucas Pitt Show poster on Friday night, thank you for rewarding our impulse that ppl would want a one-time-only poster for a one-time-only event show.
This show was very much a bonkers late night Del Close Marathon-type show, and I wasn't sure how the audience would take to it or how many ppl would want a poster commemorate the occasion.
I'm not even sure if we have any left, but if we do, they will be on sale at our Dynasty Typewriter shows in September.
The Pitt *purchased Valor
Cannot overstate the palpable dramatic tension in the waiting room as Dr. George, Nurse Watto, and Med Student Pat administered two Covid tests live on stage to a patient.
No stolen valor here, true heroes all.
Excited to be doing our first Star Wars Day GLTS show in 3 years, and it has me thinking in terms of "how many more NYC GLTS shows are ever gonna happen?"
We used to do 12 a year -- but now, in the post-pandemic era, we obviously only do a few shows a year in NYC in addition to a handful of special shows in other places.
After my near-death experience in January, and with my weekly Sunday night show, Raaaatscraps, coming to an end soon, my mind cannot help but wonder how many more GLTS NYC shows are, realistically, in our future! Five? Ten? Twenty?
Anyway: LOW TICKET ALERT for Monday!
I'm writing an essay and I need to reference where he mentioned it, but I can't seem to find anything. Did he ever really say it, in a book or interview, or is it just word of mouth?
Edit: THANK YOU to everyone! I have found what I needed!
Pittsburgh Tickets
Life has gotten in the way, so I have a ticket for each Pittsburgh show tomorrow night that I would like to give to someone! If you want em, send me a DM.
In honor of May the 4th I am sharing my findings for all the remaining live stage GLTS Power Guests—before the PG was a canon event.
There are multiple slots (in blue) where, despite many half speed replays, I am just not ready to fully call. Usually because the camera angle or the video edit did not give me a good view. I sent a more detailed chart with more notes and my *guesses* at those shows to the GLTS gmail for their reference but if people here want to take a look at those I did not want to influence fresh eyes.
Travis McElroy vs Lee Unkrich was so close but Lee just ultimately sits down faster, it was a fun one to call.
For The George Lucas Pitt Show, anyone know anyone in Pittsburgh who:
A) works in a Pittsburgh emergency room
B) is any kind of medical professional in Pittsburgh
Watto - stay hydrated! (If you were at tonight’s GLTS you’ll know)
But between missing the December shows and now this, I’m beginning to think that maybe Watto just doesn’t like performing in NYC anymore.
Saw a panasonic commercial with George. The presentation made me want a shirt with that ‘Digital Magic’
Hate to do this but my pup hit a rough patch and my wife and I can’t leave him alone to go to the show. Looking to get like $40ish for both tickets total (but open to offers).
Bummed we are gonna miss the show but hoping to catch a stream of it.
