The black cleaver nerf is gonna destroy a ton of champions because its nerf being approached to in a wrong manner

yeah, cleaver was kinda ass even without the nerf... one of the lowest winrate items in the entire game

why not give that internal cooldown to ranged users? fucking over an entire class for some fotm ranged abusers is a terrible way to proceed about this, specially considering how underperforming the item is in almost all of its intended users (heck, most bruisers nowdays opt for grudge instead of cleaver because of how weak it feels). This item was intended at the end of the day for melee bruisers

Riot would rather fix a shit item than:

Fix it on a champ that insta stacks it from 700 range (Senna)
Fix it on a champ that insta stacks it from 1 ability and rune interaction (Small there)
Fix it on a champ that fully stacks it in a single autoattack (Graves)

But yeah, lets make its intended users (Aatrox, Fiora, Darius, Pantheon, Zaahen, Garen, Sett, Riven, Camille, Vi, J4, Hecarim, etc, etc, etc) all suffer because of range abusers

Many melee champs that insta stack it or stack it quickly will lose a ton of power (and none of those is particularly powerful in the meta RN, maybe only Garen and Pantheon)

While we're at it lets nerf trinity too to keep Ezreal on check

Is grasp tank garen really bad?

I fell in love with garen during the tank mets where you could have a great time making him ultra tanky and still do great

Nothing Great, Nothing Fancy, Just a Nicely Executed Level 2 Spike

Mildly satisfying when you get these moments, no?

Darius without PR?

How do we play this matchup now that phase rush is gone? Used to be one of my absolute favorite matchups to play with tons of skill expression around proper layering and proccing phase to short trade, but now that options doesn't seem to be there. Stormraider's seems like it'll take way too long to proc to use the same approach. What are people doing now?

Lethality vs. crit

I see a few successful Korean onetricks going straight lethality. What’s the consensus on best overall build atm?

Once a valiant hero, Dreadknight Garen fell to the promise of power great enough to save his land. Now, twisted by the corrupting magic of his Master, he commands the frozen legions in their march upon the living. Only desolation remains in his wake.

Garen Mid

I am currently a viktor main, and gold 2 rank. Never been higher, but been gold as a jungler last season, and mid this season. However, i feel like ive stagnated alot. I am really considering garen mid, as i am a new parent with less time to play, and the feeling of serving justice to mages is absolutely awesome.

Any of you demacians have experience with garen midlane? Build/runes same as top? Thanks in advance

Struggling in Emerald

I managed to climb from gold 4 to emerald 3 this year maining garen, but now games feel really hard for me and most of the time i find that i win/go even in lane and pray my team doesnt throw the game.

I am wondering if any of you diamond+ garen mains who use this sub might have any advice for me to keep climbing and carry hard games.

Just had a game where I went Doren’s Helm against Quinn in lane. It felt really good for survivability early with the extra armor and it scaled decently into the mid game when I took over after stride. I think this item for Garen in particular is great so far.

As the title said, I’ve been a Garen onetrick for 3~4 years, peaked Masters (nowadays just Diamond). I’ve always stomped every Darius or Sett matchup with PR thanks to a guide by Erislash (my GOAT). And now with PR effectively gutted Im embarassed to say I have been carried by the rune page and have no idea how to lane against one of the most picked and well-known counter, Darius. I know with Conq at about lvl 9 if ur even u can confidently fight him, my problem is how to get there without feeding or sacreficing a shit ton of minion and exp.

What do you guys think about the removal of phase rush? I used to abuse that rune and stomp matchups that were otherwise unplayable, darius for example. I don’t really know what to do. I kinda want to keep playing Garen but it seems ill have to play meta champs. He is just so easily countered which makes most lanes not fun to play.

I didn't played the game for a long time. I kinda do understand the necessity of the critbuild, but i dont understand why shieldbow isnt bought , it seems like a very good item for garen , esp since big nerf on IE and the fact that with very little bonus hp sterak isnt very good

Thank you
