The whole point of a sequel is to be better than the game that came before it and that’s exactly what 2 did. Better graphics, better combat, more weapons, way more suits, way better traversal, and better quality of life features. It’s a no brainer that 2 is the best in the series despite the trolls here on Reddit and the grifters on YouTube say. Newer is always better, it’s common sense.

  • Outbound (May 11th)
  • Directive 8020 (May 12th)
  • Notmads (May 13th)
  • Subnautica 2 (May 14th)
  • Driver Together (May 15th)

All eyes are probably on Subnautica 2 for next week but also Outbound will get some love.

The Game Business recently reported launch month sales data for several PlayStation titles on PC, and the numbers are poor.

- Ghost of Tsushima: 710,000

- God of War Ragnarok: 300,000

- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2: 260,000

- Horizon Forbidden West: 230,000

With Ragnarok's simultaneous PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 release bringing in a reported 6.9 million players, the 300,000 figure is very weak and almost negligible.

A perfect game is obviously subjective and different for everyone.

For me, personally - The Witcher 3. I'm a 41 year-old gamer and I've played a LOT of games. But just a very few games managed to glue me to my chair like TW3 did.

Honorable mentions: Max Payne 2 (finished it in one sitting), Rollercoaster Tycoon (spent hundreds of hours in it), Football Manager (hundreds and hundreds of hours).

The game had 574,000 concurrent players at its peak but now gamers are leaving the game and are even requesting refunds.

Thoughts on this?
