Driver and passenger window pattern

Does anyone know why this pattern appears under certain types of lighting? It appears on both windows.

Thanks in advance

Recommendations- tuning workshops

Hi guys,

I’m having trouble finding tuning workshops that would be able to help with GR mods while keeping the car fully road legal.
Looking for suspension mods, brake cooling and modest engine mods (if any).
I can find plenty of places in Germany and Italy - but the Swiss certification becomes a major obstacle.
The only thing I found is Novidiem - but somehow not convinced as their marketing presence says little about real life experience.
Preferably German speaking part
Gen2 Automatic

Cheers

1500km later

Had an amazing road trip down in central France for a week with my girlfriend. Incredible mountain roads, beautiful views, and bugs, lots of bugs.

I tried to emulate it in Fh4, is this somewhat accurate speed and grip-wise? (Ignore spedo, game makes fast feel slow)

Boost issue ?

Hey everyone! I wanted to ask if anyone else has ever experienced this. Been happening now and then, I’m in 4th gear and put my foot flat then it hangs around 4500rpm and then keeps going. As it does this my speed does still increase. I do have an aftermarket intake so I’m not sure if it’s a boost leak but I did disconnect and reconnect everything and the only other thing I noticed is my one spark plug housing is a bit wobbly compared to the other two, so maybe I some tiny leak coming from there. Or maybe it’s just a normal Yaris thing in the cold weather, but it seems new to me! Thanks in advance!

KUHL Racing GR Yaris display at D1GP Aichi – these builds are something else 🇯🇵🔥

Caught the KUHL Racing display at D1GP Aichi Sky Expo this weekend. Two wildly different GR Yaris builds – a red KRUISE aero kit build and a matte olive widebody with a massive GT wing. Japan's tuning scene never disappoints 🔥

Stopped at a car meet at Daikanzan in Hakone on my way back from Yokohama. The R34 GT-R next to my GXPA16 RZ with Mt. Fuji in the background – doesn't get more JDM than this 🔥

New GR Yaris owner - advice for Winter protection

Hi everyone,

I’ve wanted to buy a GR Yaris for a long time, and I finally managed to place an order. I couldn’t be more thrilled.

Now that the excitement has settled a bit, a new concern has come up. I live in Stockholm, and I’m worried about how the winters and road salt might affect the car long term. I’m originally from Southern Europe, so I’ve never really had to deal with harsh winters or salted roads before.

From what I’ve researched so far, getting some kind of underbody protective coating and washing the car regularly during winter seem to be the most important things to prevent rust and corrosion. Is that generally enough, or are there other things I should be doing? I want the car to last as long as possible.

I’m also wondering about storage. I don’t have an indoor garage, only a long outdoor covered parking space/carport. The car will be protected from snow fall. Is this enough or should I add some protection?

Also, I will not use the car every day, mostly on the weekends.

I understand this is a general car question but maybe there are specific concerns about the GRY.

Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone!

I wanted to know owners opinion on this video. It calls my attention the part where the car kinda "decides" depending on the day if deliver the power in a constant way. Also the part where said that without the punch of the turbo, sometimes in 1-2 gear feels like a normal yaris or even struggle to catch other "normal" cars.

Kinda kills some of the hype I have for the car.

Cheers!

Drove my GXPA16 RZ from Nagoya to Yokohama today – about 340km each way. Heading to Hakone tomorrow. This car never gets old on long runs 🔥

Hi all,

Received my GR last week and after driving it about 30 miles myself i’ve noticed the clutch is slipping. Been in contact with the dealer who are going to sort it free of charge.

The car’s on 37k which to me seems a bit early for a clutch to be going. Indicator of being tracked? On one hand makes me think maybe it was abused but at the same time it would be nice peace of mind to know it’s been done and I won’t have to worry about it for a few years.

What are your thoughts on this?

Has someone tried to fit a snowboard inside the GR Yaris? Online i saw a post about ski's with a length of 1.80m? but no other sources

I would need to fit 2 snowboards inside (1.65m) with the passenger seat still usable.

If someone has any experience i would love to know more thanks!

Loved exploring Yokohama Chinatown but getting the GR Yaris in and out of these parking garages was a workout. Japan parking lots are not built for lowered cars 😂
