Products for my 21 Forte GT(DCT)

Hello all. I'm looking for advice on good fluids as far as oil and transmission fluid for my 21 Gt. I'm @ 85k right now and am just looking for good fluids for longevity for the car. I'm also looking for small bolt on mods that will help improve the car like BOV and an intercooler as well. I'm starting to look into cosmetics for it as well. Sorry for the long winded post but if there is anyone with any suggestions please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Dealership Offer

Got this text the other day from my dealership. Bought my ‘24 Forte GT new from them in 24.

What are your guys’ thoughts on offers like this? It’s my first car so I don’t have insight on how to take advantage of a situation like this.

Thanks

Exhaust Setup

Started with a red delete, was too quiet. Moved to an Evilla Sport res and it was definitely louder but had the stock tone and loud dct farts. Eventually I moved to an MBRP muffler and added the original res back on and it sounded like a bubble machine. I added the Evilla Sports res back on and here is the sound with light revs, thoughts?

New exhaust 🔥

It's not perfect, spent a lot of time wrestling with polyurethane hangers 😂 so the right side is slightly lower, but I'll fix it some other time 🫡

Sad day

I never posted here but always lurked
On 5/5 I was rear ended by someone while I was stopped at a red light. Yesterday they told me they would count it as a total loss.
2022 Forte GT will definitely be my most missed car 😭

Ass Shot

The back of the car is beautiful. If you go ahead and de-badge it, doesn’t look so bad. Someone even asked me if it was an Audi, I didn’t know if that was a good thing or if they are just blind

I have a 2023 kia forte gt, I want to make it louder and not spend a crazy amout of money. I might do a res delete but I keep seeing people say its not much louder and I dont want a stright pipe the exhaust and make it sould obnoxious

Pipe

Would MBRP Exhaust cause this to come off?

I've never messed with this area accept doing oil changes.

How to know if dct clutch disk needs replacement?

I have a 2024 Forte GT DCT with around 30,000 km and I’m wondering if there’s any chance the clutch could already be wearing out, or what symptoms/diagnostics I should look for.

I honestly don’t know if my driving habits are considered good or bad for a DCT. Sometimes I drive in heavy traffic, occasionally creep forward slowly, and I’m not sure if that’s harmful long term.

What are the usual signs of clutch wear on these cars? Any tests, behaviors, noises, smells, RPM issues, hesitation, etc. that I should pay attention to?

Would 30,000 km be unusually early for clutch problems on a Forte GT DCT?

Overrated or Underrated?

Do you think this car is overrated or underrated? I think its underrated cause of the value this car provided at a low price point compared to its competitors.

Kia OE Oil vs aftermarket Oil

Do I have to use Kia's Total Quartz or Mobil SP oil?

I've been using mobil1 Extended performance/extended life the gold/silver label 5w30.

Is there much of a difference.

I know our engines are know for carbon build up, rings, valves, etc.

Total Quartz oil is like $70. Mobil1 is like $40. I've used amsoil before too. How's liquimoly in these motors?

Are the OE filters much different than the mobil1, fram, etc?

I have put 37.5k miles on the car my self, changes every 3k miles.

Previous owner did about 18k, so about 55k miles on car. There's was no service records from previous owner on carfax.

Anyways, what oil do I go with to keep it fairly healthy till it needs a tear down and clean up, rebuild?

What were yall first few upgrades in order? And do yall have the OEM brakes still?

I’m tryna decide if I’m going big brakes and spoiler or wheels and spoiler.

Clutch flush

How do I go about flushing the clutch ? Do I do it through the calipers ? Or is there a actual clutch bleeder valve somewhere I’m not finding, I am trying to do my brake fluid change since the dealer said I should consider it since I am at 51k

new GT owner

picking her up on monday 😎 17k miles. really excited about it but slightly nervous about the clutch. going to be my first DCT and have been doing a lot of reading up on it, it seems some people hit 100k with no problems with the DCT whatsoever and some people run into problems pretty consistently. I live in atlanta and a good part of my commute is stop and go traffic, i know the whole leave gaps and accelerate until you engage the clutch mumbo jumbo and staying in first gear helps as well so the DCT isn’t consistently trying to engage second gear.

any more tips or inputs on things i should look out for? and am i being too paranoid about the DCT?
