As someone who goes the speed limit in this town, my problem isn't the speeders as much as it is the people perpetually going 5-10 under the speed limit.

I can't make it anywhere in this town without getting stuck behind someone doing 30 in a 40 or 40 on a 50. I'm constantly missing lights and feeling rushed in traffic in-part due to people who go don't go the posted limits. I then always see people speeding, weaving, etc, to pass them and then running lights. Oops missed that light and now we're all stuck on this shitty light cycle down Harmony because we're going 35 in a 45 and can't work the timing of the traffic lights.

Couple this with never ending road construction and you get no where.

Leash Your Dog

To the person letting their large brown dog run freely throughout Maxwell chasing prairie dogs and disrupting wildlife (and fellow hikers), there is a leash law and you are not above it.

Protest plans against war in Iran?

Are there any plans to protest the war in Iran this week? Lumping it into the weekly Thursday protests? Or doing something in the old town area?

Police Chase?

Anyone know what’s happening with the police chase? I was out walking my dog on Apex dr just now (by Prospect and Lemay) and a car went careening past us (literally a few feet away) on our small residential road followed a few feet behind by an officer with full lights and sirens. Both booking it. Car somehow made it back onto prospect without hitting anything and sounded like they headed east, followed by at least two more patrol cars. About 9:50pm.

Quick survey on Colorado winter weather (CSU class project!)

Hi all! I’m a student at Colorado State University working on a project for my ESS 353 class, and I would really appreciate your help.

We are running a short survey about how people in Colorado perceive winter weather, including snow, dryness, and what makes a “good” winter. Since this year has been pretty dry, we are especially interested in how people are feeling about it.

This project builds on research from CSU’s Watershed Science program led by Professor Steven Fassnacht, which has been studying how people think about snow and winter conditions since 2011. It is interesting because people can experience the same winter in very different ways. Some people love lots of snow, while others prefer less.

The survey is quick and anonymous, and it helps us better understand how people view climate and seasonal changes.

If you have experienced a Colorado winter this season, I would really appreciate your input.

Bike to Work Day Food Requests

Hello!

Bike to work day in June will be here soon! This is the first year I will be in charge of setting up a booth. I was curious of what the people who bike often would love to see! For instance, do you all prefer burritos over snacks? Swag? Drinks? Please let me know I would love some ideas that people would like and something that will help my company stand out, Thanks!

Permit for backyard chickens

What happens if you don't get a permit and the city finds out you have them? They are allowed in my neighborhood so I am not worried about that. Just not sure if I want to go through the hassel and my husband spent a lot of time building a predator proof run and coop and I am afraid they will come and say it needs to be so far from a structure or something.

Dog sitter?

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a dog sitter in Fort Collins?

Have a few trips planned the next couple of months and want to make sure my furry friend is well taken care of as he won’t be able to go with.

Thanks in advance!

Indoor pool access

Where in Fort Collins has indoor pool access? I'm trying to find access to an indoor pool while I heal from a back injury to get some movement. I can't afford the membership at Raintree but it seems to be the only viable option so far that isn't attached to an apartment complex. Where is everyone going to swim?
