Been using ChatGPT and Claude for FiveM scripting, and they're genuinely useful for boilerplate and logic, but they keep getting things wrong in ways that are annoying to debug, wrong native context (client-side native on the server), deprecated ESX functions, and hallucinated QBCore exports that don't exist.
I'm looking into building something specifically for FiveM scripting that's grounded in the native reference and the current framework source, rather than just a general-purpose LLM guessing at FiveM stuff.
Before I go too deep on this, I want to sanity check the idea with people who actually script:
- Do you use AI in your scripting workflow at all? What works, what doesn't?
- What would a FiveM-specific tool need to do to be genuinely better than just using ChatGPT?
- Would framework support matter to you, QBCore, ESX, ox_lib, etc., or do you mostly figure that part out yourself?
- Free with limits vs. a small paid subscription, what would make sense for something like this?
Not trying to pitch anything, genuinely trying to figure out if this is worth building or if the problem isn't big enough to matter. What's your honest take?
I'm looking for a server that needs more LEO action. In particular, I'd like to join a Sheriff's Department. I'm not a fan of debadged cars, or uniforms that are splattered with LASD all over them. Would prefer a setup that embraces the San Andreas feel and reflects the lore of the GTA5 world set.

I’m looking for a new server that matches what I’m looking for.
Myself & my group are looking for something that’s not necessarily massive pop, new servers are okay, but also enables us to be able to do things solo, when it’s quiet.
We would like to own businesses but also be able to do some criminal activities on the side, but not needing to be in a gang - as we are not interested in being involved in a gang, just your average person trying to have secondary income.
We also want a good balance of civ jobs, the grind doesn’t matter. As long as it’s worth the actual grind.
We like to build our stories & work towards building what we want, but we also want to ensure we are able to fulfil our stories while the server is dead, or without needing other players to be in to be able to do anything. As most servers are a different time zone to us, this is just ruining our experience within fivem.
We are looking for something more balanced.

Banned within 3 hours of returning to a revamped server for debating an in-game arrest (arresting me while I was a cop) charges were improper use of lights and sirens and making a false report, the "false report was a /911a call reporting another cop as a dick but he was actually speeding). Admins were spectating the whole time and used their screenshots from spectating as RP evidence to do what they did.
When trying to talk to staff and appeal in discord I was server muted. My "commander" and "superintendent" joined the "OOC Voice Chat" where they were then yelled at and told I was muted for joining a RP VC and complaining, followed by the three of us being banned after playing within the community for 2+ years.
Negative stars. Shout out to the staff team for ruining their new start by hiring a bunch of power-hungry children. We all play games to have fun, not to get yelled at by the cast of "Baby Geniuses".

Just started playing fivem a 2 days ago and so far it’s been ok, I used to play grand rp 3-4 years ago on a extreme level got super into it but went back and it’s just a huge pay-to-win / gambling game now. Went into 17th st and it’s been fun but the thing is fivem is NOWHERE near the same as GrandRP. I get the rp aspect of being a-holes but it’s annoying when it’s every single interaction. I found Seasons Rp which is pretty chill but not much to do there but the vibes are great. I wanted to find a server that has many things to do, drug dealing, trucking, casinos maybe, or all of the above. But the most important part is a non toxic server. No diss to the toxic ones if that’s how yall play hey I get it but not so much that asking simple questions like “ where do I get a gun license “ gets me robbed while I’m getting clothes. Also I work from home and would like a server that has jobs that don’t requiere me to use my mouse much. Had jobs like that in grand rp like ems inside the hospital just spamming E and talking to the patients for 8 hours straight then go do something else after I got out of my irl job, if any server has something like that I can do an easy 40 hour just on a job.

SOFT LAUNCH TESTING PHASE — Wretched City RP
We’re currently running a soft launch testing phase on a custom-built FiveM server.
This is not a finished release. Systems are actively being tested, balanced, and adjusted based on real player feedback.
Built differently from most servers:
Custom UI systems (no reused or reskinned scripts)
No generic script packs
Clean QBX + ox_inventory integration
Focus on long-term roleplay, not short-term hype launches
Right now we’re looking for players who want to be involved early, not just join once everything is already finished.
During this testing phase, we’re also open to:

So I joined this BRAND NEW server. It’s called Operation Roleplay and it’s 2 weeks new. So far they have active LEOs, garbage, electric, pizza delivery, Post OP, and trucking is a WIP. There is a drug system though most of us havent found them yet, you can steal things from cars by breaking the window and doing a mini game. Fishing, hunting (pretty cool script) and most importantly, an amazing community of serious, funny and very good RP’ers. Ive been playing on this since launch and I haven’t gone back to my other servers since lol
Give it a shot, I’d love to see it grow some more because staff and community is amazing!

I have been playing fivem for almost a month now, I played in an era locked whitelisted server that was amazing, but got stale after awhile. I'm tired of the copy-paste servers and the "100k or die" stuff i've been running into if anyone can point me in the direction of an RP server with active and professional PD, and about a 50-150 pop server, that would be great! I'm looking to find somewhere to consistently play.
