Made my 1/6 judge gabranth, I've included some comparison pics I also made battle damaged head from his iconic scene. Hope you guys like it 🤝
Let's show some appreciation for our Lore Bunny and her amazing VA Nicole Fantl.
Feel free to share your own shots of everyone's favorite Viera party member. And no, I'm not talking about *those* shots😅
I just beat the game on weak mode using guns because I watched guides and, as I understand it, they get around not having attack due to level by not basing damage off of level. The main story really wasnt too bad but im doing all the side content now and I think its time I truly understand this. So I normally do about 1.5-2k a hit but some enemies take forever because all of a sudden im doing like 100 damage. Like yesterday I did the mindflare hunt and he took forever at 100 damage per hit. Can someone explain why and how to get around this?
[Long post ahead] [This is my first time playing]
I just arrived at the Phon Coast for the first time. My characters are thus:
Vaan, Lvl50, Foebreaker/Shikari.
Balthier, Lvl40, Machinist/Red Battlemage.
Fran, Lvl47, Monk/Black Mage.
Basch, Lvl40, Knight/Bushi.
Ashe, Lvl40, Uhlan/Time Battlemage, Espers: Belias, Matius.
Penelo, Lvl51, White Mage/Archer.
I'm curious whats the best gear I can get right now and where?
Vaan, Ashura, Diamond Helm, Diamond Armor.
Balthier, Ras Algethi, Goggle Mask, Viking Coat.
Fran, Golden Staff, Gaia Hat, Black Garb.
Basch, Kiku-ichimonji, Black Cowl, Diamond Armor.
Ashe, Hunting Crossbow, Diamond Helm, Diamond Armor.
Penelo, Gaia Rod, Gaia Hat, Black Garb.
.
As I said, this is my first time playing. I wanted to play blind, but I decided to look up certain things because I was curious and turns out I've been neglecting my gear. Which led me to looking up more things and now I'm not playing blind anymore because I don't have the time. I guess you're not supposed to just rely on the merchants for gear?
Anyway you all would be doing me a great service if you could help me out on the best gear I can have at this point or at least what I should have. Because I walk into the Necrohol or the Deadlands and get slapped around by the first mob that sees me. I also get killed easily by the Esper in Miriam and the one in the Ozmone Plain.
Please and thank you. I'll answer any questions you need me to to help make the answers easier.
I’ve only got the last 3 hunts and a couple of Esters left to get but I know Yiazmat is on the horizon. Where is best for me to grind?
Currently using
Baasch: Monk/Knight
Ashe: Red Mage/Time Mage
Penelo: White Mage/Black Mage
Not bothered if changing jobs is required for a gambit set up at w/e.
Hello everyone, I started playing ffxii on my switch and I am currently 8 hours in. Penelo just joined back the party so I used her licence points. Since now she has a lot of new spells (protect, shell and so on) I wanted to edit her gambits.
I want her to auto-cast protect and spells to the party members so I've set the gambit to "Ally: any -> Protect" and "Ally: any -> Shell" but she keeps spamming it nonstop. Is there any missing gambit that lets me auto cast Protect/Shell on allies that currently don't have that status? Also, is this a good practice or is it just dumb?
I have a difficult relationship with the Final Fantasy series. I played Final Fantasy 7, 8, 9, and 10. I thought they were all great, especially 9. But after 10, I found it hard to get into any other Final Fantasy game. I thought Final Fantasy 13 and 15 were very boring. 12... well, I tried it in the past, but I feel that I didn't give it a fair chance.
I know that the story of Final Fantasy 12 is not amazing. It's serviceable and mostly plot-driven, not character-driven. I am more so looking for a good game to grind levels, chase loot and fight increasingly difficult monsters. Is Final Fantasy 12 good for a fairly traditional RPG experience with power fantasy?
I’ve been playing a number of different FF games, 9, 6, 5, 13, and I got interested in playing FF12. It was on sale so I bought it and downloaded it. I know very little about this game outside of some preliminary explanations about the gambit system(which is something I’m very interested in working with).
Without spoiling anything for me, does anyone have any recommendations or tips and tricks for the beginning of this game?
I've beaten this game twice. I'm wondering if it's worth it to try new game minus on my third playthrough or just beat if normal again.
I started this game once as a teen, a year or two after its release, but never did finish it. I restarted it a few weeks ago, and my two little boys have really enjoyed watching it. My six year old will sound out any character names, while the four year old shouts the name repeatedly afterwards. All well and good, save for one random Rabanastran..
Balzac.. The amount of times I've head "BALLSACK BALLSACK BALLSACK" echoing through my home is hilarious, but hearing it shouted at the park in front of other kids is a nightmare. Big shoutout (and middle finger) to whatever glorious bastard came up with that one.
One thing has kind of annoyed me for a long time, and that's those who say Fran is only sticking with the group due to Baltheir, but that isn't true. She makes her purpose clear in Euryt, she's doing this on the part of her family because she has already been "excommunicated" from the "Wood" and she doesn't wish that consequence on her family, so she has took it upon herself.
I always wondered why Sky Fortress Bahamut was so uselessly tall, a cilinder almost. That's no airship, that's no fortress.
After 20 years since my first completion of FF12, I finally got it. Bahamut is meant to represent a mechanical Great Crystal. The map has no real directions, just like the Great Crystal's.
A mechanical version, humanity's own creation, powered by manufactured nethicite.
Bahamut is a mechanical holy creation representing humanity's first step in taking the reins of history back from the Occuria.
I would not be surprised if scrapped plans for the final level showed a section where nethicite was being manufactured.
Now I really wish they spent a little more time finishing Bahamut up. On the other hand, we got the entire Great Crystal and it's not that great of a level...
This realization made me more sympathetic for Vayne, albeit Venat is happy all the same.
Hey everyone, I’m looking to optimize my party in Final Fantasy XII and I’d love some advice on the best Gambit setups for each character.
Here’s how I’m currently building them:
Vaan: Shinkai + destroyer (frontline DPS focus)
Ashe: Black Mage + Monk hybrid (magic damage)
Penelo: White Mage + Time Mage (pure support / healing / buffs)
I’m trying to get each character to feel really efficient in their role without overlapping too much. What would be the best Gambit setups for these builds?
Hey all! I started my ranged only run the other day, and wanted to give an update. I just finished up the Lhusu Mines in Bhujerba, and it’s going smooth! I was able to get in and out of the waterways with the Hornito hand bombs before leaving Rananastre, and that’s been a lifesaver. Basch is doing 5x more damage than anyone else. On to the Leviathan!
Vaan - Archer, stealing/phoenix downs
Balthier - Machinist, potions/damage
Fran - Archer, potions/remedies
Basch - Foebreaker, damage/tank
Penelope - Time Battlemage, support/damage
Ashe - Don’t have yet (will eventually make her a Shikari with guns, but need Cucchulain first.
Hey guys its been... 20(?) Years since i played the original ps2 version. And quite a long time since i played ff12 in general.
So what is a general gambit setup thats just great for the game. Like just running around killing monsters etc.
Obviously for specific bosses you gotta adjust but just a "slap this on and youre good to go" setup would be great.
Also: is any character stronger than others? I remember them all having the same license board since no jobs
