Does anyone know churches in the area that has a good children's ministry and a non-misogynistic pastor/preacher? I dont care what denomination. I just need a new church home where folks don't make fun of people's appearances, financial situation, gossip, or comment on women's weight or "lack of value" if they choose not to have children or stay at home for their husbands. Preferably one open to people of all walks of life, color, gender, and age.

I’ll be moving to Fayetteville soon and going to work at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, and I’m trying to narrow down apartment options.

My main priority is safety and a reasonable commute, ideally within about 15 minutes from the hospital. I’m looking for something more modern with a good kitchen, updated flooring, gym, etc.

I toured Addison Ridge and honestly really liked it, but after adding all the mandatory fees (internet package, valet trash, utilities, etc.) it starts getting pretty expensive. I also toured The Grove at Park Place, but wasn’t very impressed with the actual apartment condition in person.

For people familiar with the area, what apartment communities would you recommend that are:

• relatively safe/quiet
• modern or updated
• good for young professionals
• within ~15 min of Cape Fear Valley

I’m open to Fayetteville itself or nearby areas like Hope Mills if commute is still manageable.

Would really appreciate any recommendations or areas to avoid. Thanks!

I live in a neighboring county and thought about moving to Fayetteville and decided to look today out of curiosity and HOLY- I might as well stay where I am. I feel like I just looked a few months ago and it wasn’t this bad, am I crazy or is it getting worse? How can anyone afford to live?

I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old and I would really like to get them into something gymnastics, dance, karate, IDK SOMETHING without going bankrupt. Any advice?

We bought a new place a couple of months ago. A neighbor has gotten a rooster since then. Yeah, I can hear it over my headphones. Are they legal? I don't want to listen to this all goddamn day long anymore.

For the record I never stepped foot in one of these locations. I was just sharing a story about how there was a row of Korean bars that would have women out front asking patrons to come in for a “drink”. There was also a gentleman’s club in the same parking lot. There were 3 or 4 that all shared the same building. Does anyone remember where these were located?

I picture the typical GI wearing Oakleys and a stupid baseball cap, covered in arm tats, driving a big ass truck, going to a bar after work, and we go gym trying to look tough despite never seeing combat. It’s all I see around Fayetteville.

Is there anywhere in this city that will put the Canes game on and will also put the audio on? I get that it’s the NBA playoffs, and that we’re in a non-traditional market for hockey, and that like 2% of the population of Fayetteville is even from NC, but come on! Is there no curmudgeonly bar owner who’s a hockey fan and will always play NHL audio above anything else?

I have to believe that there are enough Canes fans around here who want to watch the game in a bar with other fans that *somebody* is willing to cater to the demographic.

What’s the best place to get a massage? I’m a nurse & do a lot of heavy lifting. My back is in desperate need for relief & looking for a place that has a decent deep tissue treatment. I’ve gone to one but it just felt like they were rubbing oils on my back. 🤷🏻‍♀️
