Fatboy Slim put this on his visuals during his DJ Set at Coachella:

"The silicone feverdream has ended. A world of data now ascends. Where algorithms control the fate of every digital estate. The network's eyes are always watching as our data's mined and harvested. But there's still a hope to ouwit this world of tech and cyber-shit. The future's here and it's uncertain. But those with hope will never learn. That tech can bring us joy and bliss if we rise above the digital abyss."

The story behind Brimful of Asha. Cornershop’s tribute to Asha Bhosle

Cornershop wrote this as a tribute to Asha Bhosle back when her voice on vinyl was the soundtrack for so many of us growing up that went on to take on a life of its own. The Fatboy Slim remix went #1 in the UK and suddenly Asha Bhosle's name was everywhere. What is wild is it did not stop there. Her voice kept finding its way into electronic and global music decades later. From being sampled across scenes to even appearing on the new Gorillaz album, she was always part of something bigger than just one era.

RIP to the legend.
